Tangerine, if you're referring to LSU fans harking back on the two matchups with SC...well it IS different. They played twice with LSU winning the last one. It's not like USC has won 20 straight since then.

I grasp it well. I grew up in BR and NOLA. I agree that TU jokes are wel within play and actually needed. However, I was pointing out the obvious devil's advocate.

I would venture a guess that you would probably be happier if you didn't feel as if you needed to be the "devil's advocate" or self-appointed Irony-police for a sports message board. I understand that you revel in the "gotcha!" moments, but you're just spinning your wheels if you think it is going to change anything.

I am actually one of the happiest people around. ANd no I am not trying to change anything with LSU fans. I am just pointing out that, in this case, the pot had called the kettle black.

But yes, as you or someone else stated, all is fair game in the in-state rivalry.

Aren't you a fan of a school that you did not attend and know very few people from that school? You have little connection with $C yet you are a fan of the school with a man in a leather skirt. Bandwagon fans are the biggest joke.

I just love it when someone is out of rational words and they resort to an attack based on which team a person supports and why.

So only folks who attended LSU or have a connection with the school are true fans and the rest are bandwaggoners? I think you would have a ton of LSU fans that disagree with that.

No. Most of them have an association with LSU. They're from Louisiana, have friends or family that went to or go to LSU or have lived in Louisiana. What is your connection to $C?

Versus Tulane? Nope.

They would stil disagree with your contention that those who have no connection, live outside of LA, and did not attend LSU are bandwaggoners and less of a fan by default.

My "connection", which apparently according to you is one of a small handful or possible requirements that must be met to be a true fan, is that I have been a die hard fan since watching them on TV against Notre Dame in 1974.

In 1973, I was living Uptown where I grew up and I didn't know hardly any LSU fans who also lived Uptown. They were considered exotic where I went to school. There were more Tulane fans Uptown than LSU fans. A lot more. Way more than a lot more. If you saw an LSU bumper sticker on a parked car Uptown, you assumed it was a painter or a pool cleaner. If someone had hung an LSU flag outside their house in 1973, their neighbors would have b!tched them out and accused them of hurting their property values. I'm not kidding.

this is a great quote. when i lived in louisiana i always assumed that people with LSU bumper stickers were either janitors or worked in some other form of manual labor

well times sure have changed, because 90 percent of the wealthy in the state now a days are LSU fans and their kids are attending LSU more and more, and not Tulane.

I have a LSU decal on my car and I bet my family has more money than most of the greenies.

and youve never been to Brentwood, Tennessee I'm guessing......

and deep down you know its true that no one, including the wealthy, give a shite about Tulane in Louisiana anymore. Its all about LSU. I drove through uptown after the national champ. game last year and saw dozens of LSU flags on houses off st. charles.

Tulane students are generally cocksuckers. Go to Cooter Browns during a Saturday LSU football game and see.

I'll tell you like I told someone else here. Well done. Nice attempt to introduce a USC-LSU pissing contest in a thread completely void of the issue. Get over it.

my friend we are over it we have a crystal ball to prove it
