I actually really appreciate Jay starting Skenes today. It's always a pleasure when the melt starts an hour before the first pitch is thrown.

what I'm about to say sounds crazy so downvote away, but I was wondering if he really wants the three lower tier pitchers who did not see action Hoover to get reps this regional, because they have not pitched in so long: Money, Collins, Little? Maybe Jay thinks he will need them in the Super, and doesn't like the idea of a huge layoff?

I don't like Skenes today because you just gave a jolt of confidence to the Sam Houston vs Oregon State winner. Why not hang a loss on the 2 vs 3 winner with skenes in game 2, and make either Oregon State or Sam Houston deal with beating us twice while facing elimination
