Me thinks Clemson could have had a better coach if they had just waited a little longer to make a decision.

Wow, how huge will this be for State?

Oh, and I said earlier in the year that this season was the beginning of the end for Auburn. Alabama has fully taken over the state. They dominate recruiting, they've snapped the streak, and most importantly, they're dominating the polls. Auburn is about to find themselves in a hole they may not get out of for a LONG time.

I think his buyout is $3 mil. within 30 days and another $3 mil within 365 days.

If taking another job interferes with that (I don't know if it does) he would probably sit out a year.

I'm in agreement here - Really bad move on Auburn's part. I would be glad to see him leave the SEC West and not go to MSU...but he would probably take the MSU job just to stick it to AU each year.

It is being widely reported that Mike Leach has already been approached about the Auburn job and he is interested. Ronnie Sanders from AuburnUnderCover.com has stated on JOX that Leach is not necessarily at the top of the list. According to Sanders, other names on Auburn's list: Paul Johnson, Steve Spurrier, Will Muschamp, and Jimbo Fisher.

It was also reported that Bobby Petrino had been contacted. He may have been contacted by somebody, but his attorney, Rus Campbell, called the Finebaum show to stated emphatically that Petrino has a "no compete" clause in his contract that absolutely excludes him from Auburn or other SEC teams.

Stay tuned ... Auburn is more of a soap opera than "Days of Our Lives."

If he does go to State, it will definitely hurt Ole Miss. Nutt has met his match.

Wow...I guess an undefeated season...multiple SEC championships, and beating your biggest rival 6 straight years isn't good enough anymore
