The hold up is with settling on who the interim coach is going to be. This is more important than you realize even if it’s only for 6 or 7 games. I’ve been told the powers that be will absolutely in no possible way allow O to set foot on the field as LSU’s coach again!

LSU is in a waiting game with Jacksonville. The Jaguars need to go ahead and pull the trigger on Urban today so he’ll be available.

Urban can then begin his coaching and image rehabilitation process immediately by taking over as interim coach at LSU.

Would love it if woody told that fricking gnome to pack his shite up with O too.

PonamskREE is Orgeron’s employee, not LSU’s. He’s gone when O is gone.

is Ted Williams in that cryo chamber? Maybe time to thaw him out. He’d be great as interim

UM's last team at Fla. had 31 players arrested on it. And not simple weed smokers. And no way does he want to jump back into the pressure cooker of the SEC West.

F it - give me Mulkey and let's move forward with finding the permanent coach. I bet we'd tackle harder under Mulkey than we did this weekend.

Good Lord the overthinking is intolerable.

It's going to be Mickey Joseph.

It ain't sexy but he'll put a fricking headset on for the remainder of our arse whoopings.

If Orgeron has his weekly press conference in an hour, he's coaching this week and for the Florida game.

I would love it but that’s not happening because he said NO

very very likely. He is the AHC and has been a RC (I think?).

For an iterim there's only 2 real goals:
1. Keep the team "invested" and playing, especially the Sops and Freshmen.

2. Recruiting. Don't lose what you got, keep on the guys you are on. Don't let any silence or dead space form. We can't go silent; and there needs to be the "we'll be back" feeling transmitted.

In Joseph, Raymond (current RC), and Ensminger you have the ability to create some continuity in recruiting. They know the recruits, the methods, and the footprint. Any of those 3 just need to be given the authority to not let the others get lazy, or worse start recruiting for another future team. That interim WILL have to increase "security" to make sure none of the other coaches are snaking us.
