So your saying Ed Orgeron quit on his team and went home because he didn't get his way?
Seems to be a pattern.

True Hard-Hitting unadulterated cold fact:

USC didn't hire him as the head coach.

Great post.

Thanks.

A lot was lost on the morons who seem to live on this board 24/7. I figured most of them would have had to have seen the thread before it was deleted that my post was in response to.

It was a bashing thread so I figured they had all jumped in on the fun and participated.

100 of those coaches didn’t get gifted a stable program that averages ove 10 wins a year for the last decade.

USC did make a mistake, O > Helton, he has just been saved by Darnold. Watch what happens if Darnold leaves for NFL, Helton will be exposed. But I think he comes back another year, too much competition in this class and who wants to take the chance of going to the Browns.

Haven't read most of the thread.

Have you gone to your normal fall-back of calling all of those against your posts and/or Orgeron's hiring fa**ots/ret**ds yet?

Look I get it. He's the good ole local boy that always wanted to be the hc of LSU. Its a feel-good story. But the fact of the matter is that Ed Orgeron was unqualified for a job of this level. He was given the job before we even sat down and talked to another coach. If you had the opportunity, would you take Ed Orgeron or Tom Herman? Ed Orgeron or Justin Feunte? Ed Orgeron or Jimbo Fisher? Hell, Ed Orgeron or Lane Kiffin?

Why would they have to defend 9-3 record with a chance at 10 wins?

More proof of lowered standards. The previous coach avg 10-3 over 11.25 seasons and was fired

quote:

Not to mention 5-2 at USC as IHC, 5-2 at LSU as IHC

Cause 10-4 is not all that great especially when you were 1-4 vs quality teams and beat up on a bunch bad teams.

10-3 overall record as HC at LSU

You mean what the previous coach that was fired averaged over 11.25 seasons? What about his 31-32 overall record?

And you somehow got all of this crap from my OP?
.

No, I got it from the post i quoted where you cherry pick Kiffins record and another post in this thread where you respond to the guy that said there were 100 more qualified coaches when we hired O

Why did we fire Les again?

Pay attention and try to remember this. This is a previous post I made:

--------------------------------------------------------

"I don't know why idiots keep posting this shite like fact.

The previous coach was fired because he was repeatedly outcoached, couldn't figure out what purpose the game clock served and lying to his boss telling him he would change the offense and not doing it.

He was NOT fired for going 9-3.

Just do a google search for "Les Miles clock management". Here's a few from just looking at the results on the google page. It doesn't include the TN gaffe and others.

"Les Miles Epic Fail - LSU vs. Ole Miss 11/21/09 (HQ) - YouTube"

"The Clock game. Miles had trouble with clock management at various times in his career. It bit him again on Saturday at Auburn and it eventually cost him his job. LSU let precious time slip away in the final minute at Auburn."

"Penn State vs. LSU in the Florida Citrus Bowl, Joe Paterno vs. Les Miles, Class vs. Crazy. In that game, Les Miles shows why it's obvious he flunked Clock Management 101 in coach's school. Can at least one assistant coach please sit down and help Les Miles understand this area of coaching?""

USC realized he wasn’t qualified.

LSU did not.

Well that kind of explains one of the coaches I was thinking about. Florida State wasn't winning 10 games per year and winning National Championships?

OP only proves that the players loved him, which is a great thing.

When I was their age I remember admiring guys that, in hind sight, were complete losers. Irresponsible people that were horrible influences on me. Had a boss at a bar I worked at that would snort coke off his desk during business hours and we would party non stop. I thought he was a great guy too. In other words, maybe those kids did think very highly of O. What the frick does that have to do with running a program?

But the players loved Les. Your “point” such as it is in the OP makes no sense.

Players here didn’t want Les fired and players at USC didn’t want O to walk out on them.

That you think these two have any connection is hilarious.
