Just give it up. The Troy loss was as bad as it gets and there is no other way to spin it. It will always be a shite stain on LSU.

So, LSU should be ok with losing at home to them?

.......is this your position?

Some piss for your Cheerios.
Miles beat them by 9 in 2008 when Troy won the Sun Belt.
In fact Troy was in the midle of a 5 season stretch of winning/tying the conf championship.
Orgeron lost to a Troy that hadn't won the SBC in 6 years.

My position is that it's OVER! DONE! Get on with your life and get on with LSU football. Your train has stopped at the station too long. Move forward.

I know it has NOTHING to do with anything, but did our fans beat the dead horse this bad when Saban lost to UAB? I know Saban doesn’t compare to O, yada yada, but there was no way to know that at the time. Just don’t see the point of bringing up Troy every other day..

When Saban lost to UAB we had also lost to Colorado State, Southern Miss, and Houston within the previous 8 years. Compare the state of the program at the time and the two coaches involved and it isn’t difficult to figure out.

That game will be the black eye for Orgeron till he is let go IMO. That loss alone put him on the hot seat this season, win that game and everything else stay the same last year, and the majority of the fanbase isn't putting him squarely on the hot seat.

If he goes 8-4 this regular season, people will point back to that Troy loss as reason to fire him.

Our fans went ballistic when Saban lost that game. It was the same. But as the the year went on it became very apparent that Saban was a stud, and our program was rising.

As last year went along we started getting a little positive, then suffered an embarrassing loss to a crappy Notre Dame team and signed the lowest ranked recruiting class in years, which included a turd on top when Bama took our top recruit at a position of glaring need.
