he started for UCF a year or 2. was a really good defensive catcher
and im not sure if Ogata was a PM cut, but he won a CWS at OSU and was a 2 year starter there i believe
ETA:
Lara- 312, 3 HR 31 RBI in 50 games at UCF

TJ Forrest? Dont remember if he left on his own or not
He left on his own after 2007.
Mainieri did try to cut Louis Coleman after 2007, but he was able convince Mainieri to let him stay on with no scholarship - this was before 35 man roster limit. Good thing he talked his way back on...

smoke def recruited him, but he was gone the next year when PM came in. I dont remember why he left. I know he was from Oregon

quote:Pretty much a moot (or, 'mute' if you prefer the OT's version of the word) point now that Mainieri says he is going to be the recruiting coordinator, isn't it?
Is Javi a better evaluator of talent than Grewe?

So are we concluding? that Mainieri jumps the gun on cutting some players? You think he doesn't have patience for development?

that time period was different than now. He was mainly cutting players mainly that weren't "his".
It's wasn't really the he didnt have patience for development, they just weren't his guys.

I think a major problem for Trey was that hit he took last year that had him in the dugout for awhile. Never looked the same afterwards.

He knew that LE, dont tango with CajunRevolution when it comes to LSU baseball

I didn't know that. It's why I posed the question. You just act like a jackass and know-it-all everytime I even begin to broach a topic. You kind of force an argument.

Wasn't bitching and moaning about anything. All I am saying is I do NOT care where Matty Ott played his high school baseball, he has STRUGGLED AT BEST the last 2 years and he remained our sorry arse closer, if you read between the lines. What gives Ott a pass using your logic?
Ott had the lowest ERA on the team this year and the highest k's per 9 innings, but of course you knew that...

He still choked in big games against good teams, has done it the last 2 years
