According to PFF, Palmer is the highest graded receiver in the country at 89.3.

Twitter

Because of drops and inconsistency (and a loaded WE room) it didn’t work out at LSU, but glad to see he is doing well now. Reminds me of Trey Quinn in that maybe he just needed a change of scenery.

Admins if this needs to be on MSB you can move- just thought I’d shout out a former Tiger.

if he hadn’t fallen out at the end I don’t think we have near the amount of muffed punts.

Y'all put way too much stock into PFF. It's so subjective.

I've watched several of Nebraskas games this year because I'm a degenerate gambler. Trey Quinn would not play over: Kayshon, Malik, Jaray or Brian Thomas

He would be right there with Bech and Hilton.

He had a 7-237-2 stat line vs Purdue last week and has had a nice run over the last 4 weeks: 29-550-5.

His previous 3 games to that was 18-231-0.

It helps to have your wr coach take over as HC

You’re not wrong I should’ve added the caveat that PFF is suspect. It just popped up on Twitter and caught my attention.

He would absolutely still be behind Boutte, BT, Malik, and Jenkins (at least) here

Serious question= what are his drops like this year?

I always wondered if it was a 2-part issue:
one, he wasn't the primary guy, so he didn't get targeted enough to get comfortable catching; and
two, his being short caused a lot of "tall" throws from QBs used to 6 ft WRs.

I think if he got fed a lot, his hands would improve, and a better QB (say, an NFL caliber) would put it more on his numbers instead of over his head.

If he became consistent catching, he's a definite NFL prospect with his speed.

Hes having a huge year, Nebraska really forces the ball to him a lot but he's been doing a lot with it. He's cleaned up the drop issue a bit with only 4 drops this season and is playing more physical which was an issue here as well. Looks like he's put on 10-15 pounds maybe since leaving here.

Now, keep in mind Nebraska hasnt exactly played a murderers row schedule. He's doing this against the Northwestern, Rutgers, Indiana and Purdues of the world so I'm sure that also makes a difference.

Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up against Michigan, Illinois and Iowa. Seems weird to even include Illinois and Iowa as a step up in competition but their defenses seem to be pretty legit

Good for Trey. Unfortunate that it didn't work out at LSU, but glad to see he's made the most of his opportunity elsewhere. He seems like a good kid who didn't have much off the field drama like others. I wish him the best of luck!

Nebraska has been in the Big Ten for like a decade now man. But yes their schedule has been a joke up to this point.

Just goes to show how shitty the competition is in the big ten.

He's balled out the entire year. Like, he got his chance and is making the most of it. He shines on a bad football team. Could sneak into the 3rd or so, imo. He's hella productive.

He will run a good 40 and move up because of that.
