Stanford lost to Final Four Team UCLA 3 times, Elite 8 Team Texas, ASU(21-13record), USC(21-12), Sienna(23-11) and Oregon (18-14)

25-8 looks damn strong to me.

The meter is ticking. Johnson has three years to win the SEC. Let's hope he does; we want a coach who fares better than Brady.

here is the question you should ask your self if you were a high school basketball player like Greg Monroe would a guy like Trent Johnson make you stay home and play at LSU?

I would say no I could pass him up and go elsewhere.

He's won a total of 2 NCAA tourney games....................

He actually has won FOUR: He took Nevada to the "Sweet Sixteen" prior to taking over at Stanford and then this year's "Sweet Sixteen." If you know anything about college basketball, you will realize that Nevada just getting into the "Big Dance" was a minor miracle, not to mention winning two games.

How many of you people are gonna keep reading just part of the thread and not keep reading?

I addressed that I looked up his profile which had only one sweet 16 appearance...which would be only 2 wins. It didnt have this years results which I did not notice....and you guys think IM the one not doing the research. Please read the entire thread to make sure someone hasnt explained himself.

Ill expect another one of these posts in about 1/2 hour...

Do you think a high school basketball player would base his decision on the contact he has had with that coach, or do you think they just kind of search the interenet for articles about that coach?

Regarding the "hot" coach from a California university: I can't recall her name, but Fresno St. fired an extremely hot women's b-ball coach a couple of years back and she received something like a 16 million dollar judgement from a court for some type of discrimination. They are working on a negotiating a settlement amount last I heard.

I don't see how anyone can really hate this hire. He's about as good as we could have expected to get. he's won at the mid major level and he's proven himself in what many consider to be the 2nd best basketball conference. Sure it would have been nice to get a young up and comer but for every bruce pearl there's a stan heath

Feel free to name the available coach who could do that. This is a good hire for LSU.

Johnson's won more than two NCAA tourney games. Whoever said that needs to do more research.
