I'm told that Tremont will be a mouse in the house at the next level.

Van Fleet has like forty pounds on Waters Lazy comparison I think Waters can be successful in the NBA given the right opportunity but it's hard to find a good comparison because there just aren't many guys in the league his size

Stop making shite up you hack.

Van Fleet is listed at 6’0 190lbs
Waters measured at the combine as 5’11 175lbs

Not to mention some of the biggest hands there and a 40.5 inch vert for the asshats that keep saying he’s not athletic.

Vanvleet looks quite a bit more stout than Waters though. I think Waters knock is not just his weight but also his strength (or lack there of).

Van Fleet 6’1” with shoes

Waters 5’10 3/4”

That’s a pretty big different. Not many 5’10” guys in the nba, much less successful 5’10” guys

Tremont gambles way too much.

He gambles but he understands the game and the probability of other players actions so well that his gambles are in his favor. He has save several games for us by gambling. I'll miss his play.

Not a bad comparison at all. There were times where I felt he has real Chris Paul potential, and then most of the time I felt like he won't play for anyone other than a tanking team, if that.

I suggest he immediately learn a second language or two. He would be punished defensively in the NBA . I think 1/3 of the fouls our big guys got called on them last year were picked up trying to cover Waters' man when the steal never came to pass. GL on his future, and here's a thanks for what he did for LSU hoops.

Our own Chris Jackson back in the day was an offensive weapon but he didn't even try on defense. Not saying Tremont is the talent CJ was but he has the talent to stay in the NBA longer.

Jackson didn’t disappear a year or two into his pro career. When tallying his career totals you have to bear in mind that much of his career occurred after he changed his name to Eric Reid.

The extreme upside case for Tremont would be Chris Paul. 6ft 175, plays PG but can create his own shot anywhere on the floor.

I think Tremont has enough of the “it” factor to find a place in the league. There is a lot of upside to getting him late in the draft. I’d love to see him at a place like Golden State where he could be a facilitator.

Waters has to improve his 3 point shooting.

Also that block vs Houston disagrees with you.

Are you seriously comparing what a player does at the collegiate level to what someone is doing at the NBA level?

Small, yes. Not very athletic is a complete miss. Waters was one of the quickest guys in the country last season.

Is reading comprehension really that difficult? He called waters a poor defender. I said he wasn’t. I didn’t compare anyone dumbass.

Tremont has as much defensive potential as a tortoise.

Small and not very athletic.

Tremont is extremely athletic. He's dunked the ball a couple times, and blocked at least one shot above the rim. For basically 5'9" that's excellent hops.
Quickness and handspeed, he's at the A level.

He's simply not big enough.
quote:

Now tell me how he can score.
He's a streaky shooter with great range when he's hot. In addition, a nightmare to guard on an isolation and dribble drive. And I think he knows how to drive for the foul.
There was a player in the 80's, Adrian Dantley. About 6'5, played forward, not fluid and smooth enough to play guard. His offensive game was taking the ball somwhere outside the FT line, and driving. He had a few seasons averaging over 20, and it seemed like he'd shoot 10+ FT's a game.

Waters definitely could score in the NBA, but the huge problem would be defensive liability- can he score more than he gives up in a matchup?

I think if you put him on a team with off-ball shot blockers, he can harass his guy enough to not give up open jumpers, and force him to drive into the block. It's not a starting role, but could be a way to speed the game up.

Waters should go work out with E’tuan Moore and study his floater. He’ll need to develop a similar shot because he won’t be finishing around the rim with NBA rim protectors. Moore’s is one of the very best.

If he ever has interest in making his team better rather than jacking up shots, he has a place

Chris Paul is a top 3 pg all time he will never sniff that

Or AI or Ben Gordon for that matter

He can play off the bench for someone if they put the right pieces around him to minimize the defensive hit they’ll take. His ball handling and PnR ability are absolutely nba caliber. His scoring could be too, after an adjustment to increased length in the league
