Texas will be burnt orange and LSU will be in white. Two classic uniform combos.

I’m not reading thru all the pages so I don’t know if it has been posted.

I have always found the best parking spot for ut games is the Bob Bullock museum. The dell seton medical center garage is also a good option. Both are about $15 and a short walk in to the stadium.

In my experience it is easier to get out of Bob Bullock than any where else. The hospital garage leaves you in the middle of contraflow hell

The entire parking lot in front of the Bob Bullock museum is torn up and under construction but maybe you meant a parking garage they have?

is usually a tailgate area and not public accessible on gameday

My brother-in-law owns Rustic Tap and loves hosting the Tigers. My mother-in-law owns the attached Original Hoffbrau Steakhouse. Her grandfather opened it in 1932 and they have been serving steaks ever since.

My wife's family are Texas natives and happy she married an LSU Tiger. Tiger fans have really helped Rustic Tap thrive during football season.

Geaux Tigers!

I’ve found a few first come first serve lots on a Texas tailgating website. Lots 6, 18, and 19. Does anyone know anything about those spots are they worth trying to get? Supposedly can park there from 6 Friday till noon Sunday for 50 dollars. We are going tailgate then going watch at shiners saloon.

Anyone have any idea where the ESPN College Gameday set will be located? I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything. If you know, please post. Thanks.

AUSTIN, Texas -- ESPN's College GameDay broadcasts live from the Lyndon B. Johnson Library Lawn on Saturday, Sept. 7, ahead of Texas' highly anticipated matchup against No. 6 LSU, the show announced Saturday night.

Fans can join Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and more beginning at 8 a.m. Central. The show broadcasts for three hours leading up to a full day of college football action. The Horns and Tigers square off Saturday night, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. Central on ABC.

Saturday's show marks the first time that College GameDay has been live in Austin since 2009 when Texas defeated Texas Tech, 34-24, inside Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. It is the 17th time overall that College GameDay has been on hand for a Texas Football contest, and seventh time in Austin. UT is 10-6 all-time when the Horns are one of the teams in College GameDay's featured matchup, highlighted by a 5-1 mark when the show comes to the Forty Acres.

They're coming to our city, y'all! ESPN College GameDay is descending on Austin, and we're hard at work putting plans in place to make it their most memorable show ever and an epic weekend on the Forty Acres. We'll roll out the Burnt Orange carpet, crank up the energy, and you're ALL invited to the party! Stay tuned to TexasSports.com and our social media platforms for the latest details. I'll be on location Saturday at 5:30 a.m. serving donuts and breakfast tacos to the first 500 Longhorns faithful who dare to join me early. We're fired up to see everyone bright and early on gameday and looking forward to spending the day together!

I spoke to my young adult daughter (recent Ole Miss grad - NO PICS) who lives in Dallas. Apparently, she and some friends are heading to Austin on Friday evening just to soak up the atmosphere with all the Tigers in town. She's been to Ole Miss games in Baton Rouge so she knows what she's in for.

How crazy is 6th street going to be on Friday? Hope there's no frat fight like the one that broke out outside the UNC v UofSC game.

Stu,
Any suggestions for where to park? I'll be staying at Canyon Lake for about a week and gonna drive into Austin on gameday.

What time is everyone getting out to tailgate? Thoughts on those first come/first serve spots filling up fast or do Texas fans tend to sleep in?

Traditionally it's been pretty easy in my experience. Easier when it's cooler and you can put one in a boot but IMO just don't be a drunk arse on your way into the stadium and you should be ok.

And I'm impressed by the OP. Lots of good info there. I will say don't even try Franklin's this weekend. It will be a crazy wait. Another good and bit unusual place is Valentina's BBQ. Matt's El Rancho is kind of a Tex Mex staple (South Lamar). I haven't read the whole thread so maybe it was mentioned.
