I'm a Tiger living in Oregon and am headed to the Bama game with a friend. We'd like to fly in and out of NOLA and stay there as well. We'd prefer not to rent a car so we can tailgate. Any suggestions for a ride service to get from NOLA to the game and then back that night? [other than Uber]

thanks in advance!

There was some talk of a high speed train in the Advocate yesterday. Might not be ready in time though.

Why can’t you tailgate if you rent a car?

Id just rent a car if i were you
Would prob be comparable in price to a ride service that far. Just park in the free spots and walk to a tailgate.. unless you're planning on getting completely hammered. Fyi. The Saints play the Rams the very next day in Nola. You guys should try to swing that as well.

Am I the only person that thinks this is a weird request?

thanks for the prompt replies.
renting a car is a great backup, was just hoping not to drive after the game. Don't plan to get falling-down drunk but am quite cautious if I've had anything to drink. Plus the traffic is a pain.

Great idea on the Saints game!

I don't think there's any ride sharing option from Nola to BTR. Uber? But you're gonna pay out the yaya for that.

Tiger airport shuttle

Yw

Gonna be over 150 bucks (so like 75 a piece). But if you want to get sloppy like you say. It'll be worth it.

Rally Bus
Only $30 bucks but doesn't get there until 3.
I would prefer to get there earlier.

I’m sure there is some kind of bus you can take from New Orleans to Baton Rouge

Sounds like the guy and his buddy wants to get hammered, so driving a rent-a-car is def out of the question. Unless you're looking to make the Times Pic headlines he next day.

Downtown New Orleans to City of BR/BTR $175.00 + $30.00 for the extra person = $205

BTR/City of BR to Downtown New Orleans $205.00 (Night Rate) + $30.00 for the extra person = $235

So it would be $440 roundtrip or $220 a person.

Nevermind I think the prices include bringing you back.

Greyhound bus is $12 each way. You'd still have to get a ride from the station onto campus though and back to the station

I took a Rally bus from Milwaukee to Green Bay and back for the Wisconsin game a couple of years ago and can tell you that it is a top-notch service at a damn good price. I would do it again in a heartbeat if the need arises.

Dude. Have you heard of renting a car or truck? If you're going to drink, there is greyhound and even concierge service.
