Makes me cringe when I hear people say this BS. So what time frame do these bad threes fall into? 3 months? 1 year? 100 years? With the right time frame adjusted to meet your chicken little mindset, you can have a new panic set at "bad things come in thirteens" or "bad things come in fifties"

The chances of this thing developing into a hurricane is pretty small from what I see. Possibly a tropical storm if everything breaks right.

The chances of it becoming a hurricane and hitting Louisiana are even more astronomically small.

You don't have to be a meteorologist to see that it's about to make landfall in the Caribbean as a tropical wave, and will probably weaken from there.

The only question is if it will dissipate, or go back into the gulf and gain strength.

It's safe to say that the odds of this becoming a hurricane are very low.

toss a coin, heads it will strength into something we should be concerned about, tails it will not do anything and fall apart.

Basically, this is what the models are showing. The Euro shows development coming into the gulf about 4 or 5 days out, the GFS (American model) shows nothing in the gulf 4 or 5 days out. Anyone who says they know what is going to happen with this storm doesn't know what they are talking about (except the fact that it will track into Florida and possibly the gulf.)

No, but he did just post on the OT thread saying this storm would be named today and that that it would be an impressive storm, so I'm feeling pretty solid on my prediction

That is not even cool! They didnt just get supplies and stuff for the flood victims in Baton Rouge or anything. And dont even start your "only cause we helped them after the tornado incident" crap!
