WW dngaf about metric rankings of non-conference opponents considering how brutal the league schedule is. He scheduled teams LSU is likely to see on fist weekend of tournament.

Ahhh, yes, the idiot who thinks the games against Lipscomb, Texas State, and Northwestern State mean anything. LSU has played 3 Quadrant 1 games already with 9 more upcoming based on the current NET rankings. Not to mention both of Belmont and Mississippi state could climb into the top 30 of the NET rankings as well. Do you realize how dumb it is to complain about LSU's non-conference schedule (preseason to you
) when nearly 40 to 45% of their regular season schedule could be Quad 1 games? I mean some of the shite you've been complaining about in LSU Basketball threads is ridiculous but this takes the cake.

Strength of Record is what matters!! We are 8th! So who cares. Win most of your games vs average opponents and then take care of some big games in your conference and your strength of record will be High. We’ve beat arguably at least 3 Tourney teams so far. That’s what matters. Wake, Ohio, Kentucky. Plus Belmont and La Tech could be. That’s smart. We go Win all our non conference games while only having to Beat a few pretty decent teams and then finish top 3 in the conference by years end, strength of schedule and record will take care of itself

And weak or not you went undefeated through it with 4 plus teams with very respectable records. Give me the 1-2 loss non conference schedule every year so we can enter conference play in good position and finish in the top 3-5 of your league and you’re in. That’s what matters. High seeding is cool bc it means our team is getting respect. But regardless of seeding, if you make the tourney you gave yourself an opportunity at a championship

The reason we are currently projected a 3 seed is because WW is a master at scheduling. We could’ve had some quality losses in the non-conference schedule like you ask, but we’d be a 5 or 6 seed at the moment rather than a 3 seed.
LSU will be tested plenty playing in the SEC prior to the tournament. Let the man do what he does best and trust the general.
