What you fail to understand is that those lack of yards and productivity will eventually equal losses in all likelihood.
That’s why Texas Tech, Oklahoma St, Ole Miss, can’t buy enough trophy polish for their overflowing trophy case! More yards would be nice but yards don’t equal wins. Yards alone as a metric for success is absurd.

I suspect the point trying to be made is that a head coach interested in winning a championship and not just avoiding losses would make a more concerted effort to develop his offense in the 2nd half of games that his team led by 27 and 24 points.
It is reasonable to assume that the LSU staff was hesitant to put much on film that would better prepare Auburn, but you would think that same braintrust wouldn't have their starting QB running like a FB in said games too.
Next week won't tell the complete story, but will likely provide a good synopsis of the 2018 LSU season.

Miles is sitting back in his recliner with a Dos Equis chuckling right now.

“So wins don’t count anymore”
Of course they do, but if you’re not concerned about our offense after the game we just had vs SLU and where it ranks us in the SEC, you are kidding yourself.
We were 2-0 last year at this time and struggling on offense. It doesn’t seem like a whole hell of a lot has changed, but there’s always hope we can get it turned around.

Of course yards alone don't equal success but a rational person cannot think our defense will be able to constantly counter 3 and outs by our offense. Look at the schedule and open your eyes to what's coming.

We could have kept Miles.
It is disturbing when we consider what we were promised in the off season vs what we have seen on the field.
"Slinger" hmmm? Its even more conservative an unimaginative than we could have feared.

At then end of this season it will be 7 years since we added anything to our trophy case, unless you are counting Advocare Bowl wins.

You realize that people keep track of plays per game, right?
I'm very well aware.
What does that have to do with you saying that getting turnovers is an excuse for running fewer offensive plays?
quote:
Yards per play is a superior way to evaluate offensive success to raw totals of yardage.
That can be true without relegating yards per game completely meaningless.

Good thing LSU has a solid defense. Next week could likely be a single digits game for both offenses.

I’ve warched this GIF a hundred times and I can’t find a single eye blink...

We can argue the finer points of why our offense is anemic (the rankings are the rankings, the totals are the totals) and how we got to this point all we want.
But, until someone can tell me that the principle of:
"hey, this doesn't work worth a shite... let's keep doing it"
ever produced positive results I really don't want to hear about the finer points.
UGA vs USC
TAMU (#1 in yds) vs. Clemson
KY vs UF
MSU vs KSU
Bama vs LV
OM vs TTU
UT vs WVU

What is retarded is insinuating that we would have lost to miami with 500 yards of offense.
We beat them with 296 yards. Stfu

33-17
31-0
See those stats are meaningless
We are 2-0
Just keeping the real playbook under wraps until SEC play
Other SEC teams haven’t played the same level of competiton we have
This all part of Os plan
AU doesn’t have film of our real Offense
Everything is fine
We have nothing to worry about
This is clearly the best LSU team ever and 15-0 is a mere formality at this point

The offense has run far fewer plays than most of the other teams due to winning the turnover battle
Yeah that’s the reason we managed 15 plays for 62 yards against a bad FCs team.
That’s why they manhanled our O line.
Just keep telling yourselves that.
