3rd down % would be a much better way to make your argument.

Well our 3rd down percentage is a large reason why the total yardage is such shite

some tards act as if they rather be 1-1 with a loss to Miami as long as we averaged 500+ yards per game

Literally no one thinks this.

Can we stop using raw yardage totals? It’s not a good way to evaluate an offense. The offense has run far fewer plays than most of the other teams due to winning the turnover battle and getting out to large leads in both games.

LSU’s offense has been disappointing so far, but this is a disingenuous way of showing it.

Good point.

We're 94th in yards per play in the country. Hooray!

ETA:

Wooooooooo

Yards alone as a metric for success is absurd.

No but 15 plays for 62 yards against a bad FCS team tells you more about how bad the Offense is than anything else.

by your logic i guess you dgaf about the Ds impressive stats after two games, doesnt mean much, right? you just worry about the Ws little buddy

Did they result in a win? Then that's all that matters. Query me this-- my crayon eating, challenged little buddy-- would you prefer 12 Ws averaging 310 ypg or 0 Ws and 750 ypg? I'll give you a hint, it's a rhetorical question. Wins and only wins matter.

We do lead the SEC in one category: number of punts

So you think with this defense we’d go 0-12 if the offense averaged 750 a game?

Why is it so unreasonable to expect more from the offense especially against the Hammond Lions?

Are you really this dense? Do you think this terrible offense will get us enough points to beat Bama, Auburn, Miss State, UGa?

You realize each of them has a defense just as good as ours, in some cases slightly worse and in some cases slightly better. And all of them are light years ahead of us in offense.

No one has said our offense has to be number 1 in order for us to win. But are you incapable of seeing how a limited offense will limit our win total?

But go ahead and sit her smiling and enjoying being 2-0. If the offense doesn't improve, we'll be 4-4 and you'll be wondering why we have lost 4 games when most of us can see the problems already.

But we have Steve Ensminger who is Coach’s O hand chosen guy. I don’t get this.

This is one of the worst excuses i've heard.
Auburn played Washington
Georgia played South Carolina
A&M played Clemson

We're dead last in yards per play as well.

You're a fricking moron.

Not so fast my pessimistic, melting rantard... I am incapable of panicking after two games that resulted in WINS. I am incapable of melting over something has not happened. I am incapable of joining the NostrA-DUMBASSES who predict doom and gloom before it happens and calling it objectivity. These are the same people who predicted a loss to Miami.

I'll stick to wanting WINS. You stick to your stats. As the saying goes, "Stats are for losers."
