Seriously, if anybody thinks the players think less of the fans for this they are crazy.
Seriously......it wouldn't surprise me. I mean hell supposedly players get crazy based on what is said about them on TD.com.....you think it is crazy to think that they are pissed that their fans are congratulating a team that a case could be made they just gave a series to?

Very well said. How can you hate on The Cinderella team? If it was South Carolina we were playing there is no way they get high fives
Exactly
So basically, ya'll belittled them by saying, "You guys are a bunch of nobodies. How did you win?"
Last time I checked, they had 7 MLB draft picks in the top 13 rounds. That's way more than LSU. Those players aren't the "little engine that could".

they took crap from everyone all weekend and still went out and whooped our asses...they deserved to be commended on their effort...they took a hostile environment and made it quiet by their play
i stayed and took part in it, and i told them good luck in omaha...i would like to see an SEC school win it all, but if SB winds up winning it i think ill be ok with it
all their players were appreciative, and said we were the best fans theyve ever been around, anywhere, mlb or college

We really gave them a victory lap? Gotta be fricking kidding me. I watched them dogpile, and was happy for them for a second, but no damn way would I stay to give them a victory lap

Well that certainly makes it worth it.

That's great. But not giving them a victory lap in our stadium would not have been a showing of poor sportsmanship.
No one said it would be. But to be so mad that people decided to extend them that courtesy is just pathetic. If you like Tiger Woods and Mickelson beats him in a playoff it is ok to high five him as he goes to sign his score card. Some people have a deeper appreciation for a great accomplishment.

YAY....you get a "I'm a great LSU fan T-Shirt"
This makes me sick seriously.

Then, according to some in this thread, you are classless and a poor sport.

Well, thank goodness. I was beginning to worry that they didn't like us.

You should have got on the bus with them and went home.

Do they not have their own fans?
SB had MAYBE 50 parents there. That's it. No other fans, so there's your answer.

I was earlier but the buzz was killed for good in the 8th inning on the first out. Time to go cry myself to sleep.

dont you want to be known as the best fans in college baseball? id prefer to take the classy route than the a-hole route at the end of the day

Some people just want to feel self-important, and like to think that other people think they're great. That's what this boils down to more than anything. Appearance.

Just like NOT hanging around to shoot them the bird and heckle them would be a showing of good sportsmanship, right?

You missed the rest of that post where I asked even if they don't why is it my job to be that guy?

Congrats to SB but it really makes me want to vomit thinking of another team doing a victory lap in Alex Box Stadium

No, I don't need that sort of validation. I'd rather my team win. I don't give a shite what others think about us as fans.
