I guess the LSU baseball team likes self-ENtitled, slap yourself on the back people then. Maybe you should conform.

Please show me a photo of where LSU players jumped ontop of the dogpile with Stony Brook? Please show me where LSU players popped champagne with the Stony Brook players?

You shake hands, and congratulate. You don't celebrate with them. As a fan, you can applaud them if you want, but running down and asking to celebrate with them is totally overboard. As a fan, you should "tip your hat" not run down pick them up and bear hug them.

I'm not really all that bothered by the actual act, just the self righteous douches who pat themselves on the back for doing it

Because they are players, and on the field.

So shouldn't they be more upset than the fans?

Do you shake hands and congratulate, sure. That's what the players and coaches do

Why do they do it?

There is a huge difference in showing respect, and bending over and grabbing your ankles like a few of the LSU fans did.

Check twitter. Multiple LSU players commented on how wonderful it was that some stayed and high-fived the Stony Brook players. Said its what makes LSU baseball so great and how classy and sporting it was, etc.

Those fans who stayed for SB's victory lap, what percentage were women or men that are wusses?

I just want those who did it or defend it to tell me we will do it if Bama or Florida beats the Tigers in a super regional at the box

I just want to thank #TIGERNATION for truly being the best fans. As bad as it was the lose, the respect y'all showed stony brook was well deserved and truly remarkable. That is why y'all are the best in the world. Extremely classy #proudtobeatiger #LSUforever

You're exaggerating a bit much. They didn't throw them a post game party. They slapped hands and told them good job.

They won't do it. They are belittling the Stony Brook players by acting like they are a bunch of nobodies. It shows a true lack of baseball knowledge to not see that this was not an upset. The best lineup 1-9 won.

Did Bama fans stick around the Superdome back when they lost to that "cinderella" team Utah to give them a victory lap? Classless gumps.

No way. LSU baseball fans are so smart, they can tell when an opposing player made a good play.

Did Mason Katz run out and jump on Stony Brook's dogpile? Cause that is the player equivilant of what some of our fans did.

My understanding of reading on here, and looking at the picture, is that the entire Stony Brook team walked around Alex Box slapping five with LSU fans. That is not one or two players who had been heckled all weekend getting shown a little respect. A victory lap is a "LSU tradition", not a college baseball tradition. Did LSU fans stay and sing the Stony Brook alma mater???

I'm sure Mason thought it was gay, but any smart player won't criticize the fans
