LSU #7

LINK

Only 4 of the top 12 NIL programs are in the playoffs. Interesting changing landscape.

How does LSU have $618 million in its NIL collective fund but we continue to lose these big time recruits? Tells me it’s not a money issue, it’s a staff issue.

They don’t… reading is hard.

That’s a cumulative amount from donors since 2005, still about 35M/yr if accurate, but I’d assume that’s mostly TAF money which is separate

Ahh, that makes more sense and no, I didn’t read the entire thing so thank you for clarifying that

They don't and this article really doesn't have much to do with NIL at all. Did anyone in this thread actually read the article?

This is the total estimated donations from 2005-2022. NIL wasn't even a thing until halfway through 2021.

Misleading thread title.

These are total cumulative donations since 2005… not really NIL related

This is the rant. We see a headline and jump to conclusions especially if it means we can shite on our own.

In my defense, I read the article after being up all night with a sick toddler and hadn’t had my coffee yet .

There fact that there are people on here that legitimately thought LSU had $618 million just sitting around in a collective fund is hilarious. That post currently has 29 upvotes and 5 downvotes. People are clueless.

Immediately starts the narrative of a “staff issue”

2 things: this is everything in total for many many years.

Second, I've been telling everyone here that is willing to listen that we can and DO compete with the big boys in NIL. We just aren't throwing millions at unproven talent now. With that, there is one thing that is holding us back. If you haven't figured that out by now well....

Just keep believing.

According to this, we should be a top 5 or top 10 team.
