Hester is one of the most over-rated guys I've ever seen on here. Great player, and thankful for his time as a Tiger, but come on. Seriously? Top 5? You people are insane.

not another player that meant MORE to that 07 team than JH.

Was that the OP's question...or was it Top 5 of All time?

Top 5 of 2007...absolutely Hester is on there. Outside of Dorsey you could likely call him the MVP of that team. You could even make a case for Top 5 of the decade in football.

But ALL TIME in all of LSU athletics? That reeks of a mancruch and nothing logical.

I looked twice at X-man, then remembered his track exploits. Assuming you wanted to include a track guy, he'd do.

If you're looking to include a female athlete, it would have to be Augustus. A case could certainly be made for her to be in the Top 5.

5. shaq (most dominant force maybe in the history of the nba)
4. pistol pete (most amazing entertainer in sports)
3. billy cannon (the first ever great)
2. kevin faulk (built a program for dinaro single handedly)
1. matt flynn (there is no great jacob hester drive if not for matt flynn's will first. and let's never forget the arkansas game. took a shot and played the second half and three overtimes with a seperated shoulder. throwing for 300 yards and scoring 42 points)
