5. Minter/Beckwith
Beckwith was good, but Minter was an absolute tackling machine. What he did in that Florida game was unlike anything ive seen.

Not knocking you though. Beckwith followed Minter and was a very good LB.

Jesus, do any of you realize that LSU played football beyond the 90's?

any list without Michael Brooks is flat out wrong.

quote:

Michael Brooks (1985 All-American). If you are an LSU fan of a certain age, Michael Brooks is one step away from Football God. He was an All-American as a junior and on his way to a second All-American campaign as a senior until a knee injury wiped out his senior year. He is the best linebacker I ever saw play in the purple and gold. He still ranks 5th all-time among LSU players in career tackles for a loss, and 1st among linebackers. He ranks 2nd all-time among LSU linebackers in career sacks.

Mike Anderson too. Consensus AA in 1970. There's also Warren Capone who was a two-time AA.

1. Brooks
2. James
3. White
4. Richardson
5. Capone

Every lsu alltime defensive list has to always have 4 names....
TM7,Brooks,casanova,northern

IMO these 4 names have separated themselves.
