Me too. Esp playing in this state.

I thought the Hester call was just as bad (and crucial). He clearly had possession of the ball, turning around after the catch and taking 2 steps, before the ball was stripped and went out of bounds. It's not like the defender's hand was in there at the beginning of the catch. We would have had a first down around the 8 or 9 yard line. People don't remember that call as much because it was early in the game. What also makes the AU-LSU game an absolute atrocity is the fact that they had video review of the Hester catch and still made the wrong damn call,
eh, it really could've gone either way, but I dont see how they could overturn that either way like they did

LSU-Auburn '06 was bad as was the phantom hold on Herman at UF that same year(Negated go ahead touchdown). Either of those goes the correct way and LSU could possibly have notched another BCS title so they were huge. The UGA call was bad but no worse than the one on Scott a few minutes later that gave the 'Dawgs the same opportunity LSU had so I don't think it belongs on this list. Scott would have scored from 15 yards further out on exactly the same play. The Peterson miscall was huge but even if 'Bama loses that game I still think they wind up winning the title. Nothing could ever top the 5th down call against Mo which ultimately helped Colorado win a national title that season.

I agree with this. Bottom line is that IF the call goes LSU'S way its OK if the refs missed it. SAD!!!!

There were several missed calls in that LSU-Auburn game, that if called correctly, would have changed the outcome. Many of those calls came when LSU was threatening to score. You can probably argue that even if just one of those calls was made the correct way, that the outcome would have been changed.

Can we include the fact that the SEC refuses to recognize holding as a penalty? In 2007 we had one of the top 5 Dlines in the country and opposing offenses were called for holding 7 times in 13 games (finally, some calls in the NC).

I remember the long thread on penalties involving LSU and SEC and isolating LSU-Bama. It was eye opening. I'm going off old memory, but it was something like 10-1 with Bama.
You can explain some of that with discipline (which is at play no doubt), but not the massive disparities. In fact, I'm not sure an offensive holding penalty has been called on Bama when playing LSU for the last 3 games.
I'm guessing we will have to endure watching the vaunted Bama O line "blows holes" (a/k/a hold) for Ingram with not one holding call all game.

Is this a joke? Don't you mean the punt muff in the ALABAMA game where the officials wanted to give the ball to Alabama when LSU clearly had fallen on the ball? Jumbotron replay got them to see they were going the wrong way with the call. But don't think the call on the field was wrong, I think the official just motioned Alabama's way out of habit.
Cornell entered the game having won 18 straight but trailed Dartmouth 3-0 with just seconds remaining in the game, Cornell threw an incomplete pass into the end zone that should have given the Big Red the ball to run out the clock. But apparently thrown off by a delay of game penalty moments before, the refs gave Cornell another fourth down, which they converted for a touchdown and the 7-3 victory. After a video emerged of the error (yes, even in 1940), after which Cornell forfeited the game and good sportsmanship prevailed.
this would never hapen today, when did winning mean more than doing the right thing?

Man I almost forgot how bad that holding was on Lafell in the endzone! That little shite from Auburn was hugging him like there was no tomorrow!

BULLSHITE..Nobody here is saying that.
Here’s the deal. Every time a thread is started about bad calls, some airhead comes in here and brings up the 2004 call against Bama at LSU. That’s the only thing the gumps can bring to the table. Never does that same airhead bring up the call against LSU in 1999 at Alabama that was a far worse and more costly call than the one at LSU in 2004. Never does that same airhead realize that 2004 call happened with 13 minutes left in the THIRD quarter. Never does that same airhead bring up the fact that Bama had 8 first downs the whole night and never scored again in that game because they were being dominated by LSU’s defense.
You want to talk about SAD? We’ll talk about SAD. The SEC came out and issued an apology to the gumps after that 2004 game. LSU never got an apology for the 1999 game, for the Auburn debacle, or for the botched pass interception call last year. That’s SAD!!!!

Had seat on 35 yardline for MISSOURI vs COLORADO for 5TH DOWN "GIFT" by refs. I was pissed for months(parents were both MU alumni).....don't hink my wife could have handled a similar meltdown had I left TIGER STADIUM last saturday after a loss.

So was the F up noticed right away, or did it take a while before people figured it out? Just saw a small clip of the incident.

Ranty Randy, don't forget the SEC apology for the 2009 GA-LSU game (I think my memory is correct here).
Has there ever been an apology or a my bad letter statement from the SEC concerning an LSU call.

Is it correct that the holding call on the pass for Lafell in the end zone would have been a 15-yard penalty from the line of scrimmage. How far away from the goal line were the Tigers on that play? I couldn't recall where they were.

Looks like they were right around the 30. And yes I believe it should of been a 15 yarder
