flat out untrue, I’d post the facts but we all know they don’t matter when talking about LSU baseball
What facts do you disagree with? How many coaches have more CWS wins than PM over the last 10 years? How many have been in the final series multiple times?
Why is his RPI so much better than all these others’ if he’s not outperforming them?

How about you do recruiting now?
I bet lsu is by far the best recruiting school since 2008.
What does that say about PM leading the best recruits to 1 championship and a runner up?
To compare, let's look at Bama football.
Next...
This just shows that you don't know what you're talking about. Florida & Vanderbilt have had recruiting classes right on par with ours, if not even slightly better, over this period. Florida is located in FLORIDA. Vanderbilt has a PREMIER education to offer for its' scholarship. LSU is a public university with average academics in a second tier state for high school baseball. Having the largest fan base doesn't make you finish #1 in the recruiting rankings every single season. Hell, Arkansas, Ole Miss, & Mississippi State have good fan bases too.

Some facts have not all but what’s the point in talking reality with people who treat a man like a deity? Belief not reality is what matters to you guys. It’s Les Miles all over again.

Also tell us which stats posted in this thread you disagree with.
Just because you don’t like the fact, doesn’t make it any less of a fact

No one is treating Mainieri like a diety. There is a huge grey area between he sucks and needs to be fired and him being a God. Those not freaking out are giving people some perspective to think about because it’s very apparent many of our fans live in a bubble when it comes to this sport

Again you’re being dishonest, I haven’t argued with any stat posted in this thread. Like I said can’t discuss anything with people like you rationally. Religious fanatics can’t conduct critical thinking.

I'm open to having my mind changed, but so far all I see is that Saban is the only coach that is clearly accomplishing more than Mainieri in the 3 major sports.

Nobodys freaking out over a March midweek loss, but people are tired of failures year after year with loaded teams.

Kevin O'Sullivan is the only coach who has had more success than Paul Mainieri without dispute, and even that is by a slim margin.
If you compare the past decade, sure
If you compare the last 4 years, its not slim.

Well coach K and Dabo are too so there’s that

Wrong CPM could coach for 100 years, win 1 natty and these people would still worship him.
Dude, nobody's worshiping him. We're all frustrated that we're #29 and 17-8 right now. We're all frustrated that we've only won 1 national title during his tenure instead of 2 or 3. All we're saying is that anybody who thinks those are reasons to fire a coach is an idiot... That's not the same as worshiping...
If you fire him, there's nobody else to get who's going to win more outside of probably O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan is the only coach that I would trade for straight up right now. And if you think he would leave Florida to come to LSU just because we're LSU then you're crazy again. That would have been like Kentucky basketball thinking Mike Krzyzewski was going to leave Duke to come to Kentucky just because they were Kentucky.

I’m asking you to post facts that back up your opinion. Why are you refusing?
Posted on 3/27/19 at 8:10 pm to Madking
Dabo is a good one because he's beating Saban. But, for all of fanfare for Coach K, he still only has one more championship than Mainieri during his time at LSU.

So you hate Coach O, Will wade AND Paul Manieri?
Is there any coach at LSU that you do like?

Those stats tell me you have a better chance of winning the CWS if your coach doesn't have a Top 10 RPI
It probably means those teams are getting hot toward the end of the season, not in March.

That right there is impossible to even know yet you guys peddle it like it’s an air tight argument. That’s insane, yal act like he’s the only successful coach who ever lived.

I don’t define anything short of a national title a failure. Getting to Omaha is the goal for every coach and program in America. It’s very very hard to get there, and we’ve done that as well as anyone but Florida (barely) since Mainieri has been here. You don’t fire a coach based on those results.
