Dude there are very, very few pitchers that would be as big of a pickup as White. We are talking about a hitter who might be better than Crews or is at least on the same level.

Once Link was hired the deal was dead for White. No way Link would promise him to play 3rd everyday. Plus Link's son played at NC State with White and knows what a cancer he is.

I mean Berry wasn't absolutely abysmal at 3rd (obviously not great and maybe even bad but not abysmal)...although granted some of his ineffectiveness on defense was shielded by how historically bad our middle infield was, but still if the guy can play 3rd as good as Berry I think he is a take even if you have to put him at 3rd...now if he is worse defensively than Berry at 3rd well then we have a problem.
