Hodson, the Dalton James gang, was the time I became a Tiger fan. Still have the hat that Tommy Hodson signed

Raymond Hodson, Jr. played basketball at Nicholls State College - at that time - from 1957 - 1959.

Rest in peace.

I met Mr. & Mrs. Hodson when I was working....a summer job....in Yellowstone National Park. I was working in a motor home park & after hearing about a La. family that had checked in, I walked over to their spot & introduced myself as a fellow Cajun. This was in Tommy's second year. They were in the park for a week & they invited me over for dinner every nite. I had been up there for 3weeks & was really missing Cajun food. Both were really nice people, very welcoming. Mr. Hodson loved talking about LSU football & over the week we talked for several hrs total. A super nice man.

I hung out with one of the younger sons. Great family. Every son was very athletic.

RIP Mr. Hodson

Prayers for family. Saw Tom for first time back in 84 or 85 while he was QB at Central Lafourche. Throwing dimes on crossing patterns 30 yards downfield. Had never seen a High School QB doing that. He was an LSU commit at the time and that’s when I first understood how special he was.

He was my favorite Tiger QB. I was more than borderline shocked he never amounted to anything in pro football-- he was great at LSU, had an accurate delivery, smooth touch, and a fantastic work ethic.
