He's done well developing qbs, but his offense is nearly identical. He's not gonna come in and beat Saban. He's simply not good enough. If O can continue to be a leader that allows the coaches to do their jobs, and brings in the right guys, he's fine.

"He's fine"

Tom Herman is working with bottom tier talent making them relevant CFB world. If Herman had the talent that LSU has and gets annually my God... He would beat Saban like he did at OSU as the OC. You can't judge him off the last few games look at his career as a whole.

Tom Herman is to the 2016 LSU coaching search what Butch Davis was for the 1999 coaching search. I can't wait to see the meltdown when Herman is announced as the head coach of Texas, day after the final game of the season.

If he can't beat Navy or SMU which teams at his level then how are some of you so impressed by his coaching ability.

Tom Herman has a record which is absolutely full of wins over the like of Texas State, Tulsa, Tulane, and SMU (until yesterday). WTF is so impressive that a very inexperienced coach at a mid major program for less than two years has some of you so enamored? I really don't get it.

I disagree on coach O. If he beats bama soundly they will move quick to prevent someone else from trying to hire him. I think the powers that be will measure him based mainly on bama

It's good bet Houston loses to Louisville and Memphis so does LSU want an 8-4 Tom Herman that did't beat cellar dweller SMU

Dumbass. Get your head out of the sand. What works works.

If Orgeron happens to work out then be happy because LSU is successful.

Tom Herman hasn't done shite. Tell me what you are so emamored with about him? What?

I was much more enamored by him until I found out about the kissie thing. Still think he would do great things at LSU though, but Fleck seems a lot like Herman but with out the losses and the kisses.

Herman has obviously agreed to take either the LSU or Texas job. He's totally mentally checked out.

LSU Fans were so spoiled by history that Saban, Fisher, nor Herman could ever satisfy their dreams of perfection.
After listening to Miles for eleven years years, its going to be difficult to match the excitement we have grown to expect.

I don't remember since I was watching the action on the field. Did the stadium empty, beginning in the third quarter last night?

FIFY

I bet his agent has worked out the fine details of the contract. Look for big, big money to be thrown at him from Texas. More than LSU would be willing to throw at him.

I will be happy...I just don't think Orgeron is the long term answer.

He has done more than Orgeron.

OC for tOSU championship team under Meyer. Beat FSU/Jimbo last year in his first year at Houston. Beat Bob Stoops this year.

There is a reason why his name is the top of the list for every head coaching vacancy this year. Smarter people than you and me recognize his success.

Could he be a bust? Of course. There are only like 3 "sure thing" coaches out there and LSU isn't getting them.

Houston will get destroyed by Louisville. Petrino is going to rub Tom Herman"s nose in it.

However, to you "Hermanistas" it wont matter because you ignore reality. All you do is whine about how great Herman is but ignore a tremendous story which is developing with Orgeron right under your nose.

And Herman beat Jimbo head to head by two touchdowns, with inferior talent. So it must have been superior coaching.
