That's what Kermit and Musselman make right now $500k with a lot of incentives. You get a top assistant coach from a Final Four team, pay $400-500k base with incentives to go over $1 mil and make them earn it. It should work with an energetic, hungry young coach.

No. Les is better than Crean by alot of an accomplishment standpoint.

It would be like IU hiring Dinardo and expecting similar success to what he had at LSU.

Oh wait

FWIW, From Wiki

WIKI

"Thomas Aaron Crean (born March 25, 1966) is an American college basketball coach and the former head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team. Prior to that, he served as head coach at Marquette University (1999–2008), where the program averaged 20 wins a year and made six postseason appearances, including the 2003 NCAA Final Four.

Crean's basketball philosophy emphasizes fast breaks, transition offense, and defensive pressure. His guidance of the Indiana program to success from "unthinkable depths" was regarded as one of the most remarkable rebuilding projects in NCAA basketball history.[1] In 2012, he was named the mid-season Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year, the Sporting News Big Ten Coach of the Year, and the ESPN.com National Coach of the Year. In 2016, Crean was named by the coaches and media the Big Ten Coach of the Year after coaching Indiana to their second outright Big Ten regular-season championship in four years."

Another interesting note... he is Jim and Jon Harbaughs brother in law. Wouldnt that make some interesting chemistry in the SEC Fall

Other stuff:

18yrs as HC
made NCAA 9 times, 1 Final Four, 3 Sweet 16s
made NIT 4 times
sat home 5 times

Excellent. Now, lets see how well Joe closes on the best all-around and most affordable quality candidate who will be available, this year. Huge opportunity for LSU. Get it done, Joe: close the deal, sir.

Why do you want a guy who just got fired? He didn't get it done at a basketball school. What makes you think he could get it done here?

He's an a-hole with a sourpuss demeanor. He's Trent Johnson all over again.

Again, why would we even consider this guy? Does anyone remember Cam Cameron, and why he became employable?

Sure sounds like a home-run hire to me! At LSU, the expectation should be an invite every year and why should we want an a-hole?
