It's not good, but didn't they run 150+ plays? That's more than 2 games' worth, maybe even 3.

Tons of blitzing caused many of the sacks. Run blocking was superior between the tackles.

10 legit sacks

But it's a scrimmage where the quarterbacks aren't live, so of course they're not legit sacks.

Gonsoulin hit the 53 yarder...not Culp.

Gons clearly starting kicker not even close. But he opened the scrimmage making 2of 4 . He's handling KO's as well.

Etling was Etling.

Brennan is the future.

Coach O said "they MIGHT have had 10 sacks in a game"

He was inferring in a real game, they MIGHT have had 10 actual sacks

Etling much improved. Way more zip on balls looked very confident .

Listening to O and seeing these number of carries, it looks like Brossette has made a recent move and will actually contribute some this year.

I have a hunch he will show us some good things this year. I get the sense he really hasn't yet been fully heathy since he's been here. Again, just a hunch

ArandaEffect or the more logical explanation of the line just not being that good at pass protection right now. I'll put my money on the latter.

Why not both? Maybe we have a vicious pass rush and not great pass protection

Yikes. Either our front 7 is going to kill it this season or the OL is really struggling. Hopefully it's more of the former.

Second team oline wasn't all scholarship players, second team D was stacked. Also one hand touch qualified as a sack, a couple of those would have been decent scrambles

This is both encouraging and discouraging.

Not necessarily when it's essentially combining sacks for both squads, along with one hand touch

Who were you most impressed with? How did Etling do in your opinion?
