At least she's an LSU alumnus.

I agree. An insurance agent 10 years out of college is appointed to the BOS of a major university?

Honestly that should be a requirement for all of this board.

If we're adding insurance agents, may as well add some MLMers too

so, only people who attended LSU should be able to post here?
I'm guessing you're of those "only people who have gone to a school should be fans" folks?

Successful black woman?
This appointment is a fricking joke and shows exactly why we are in the predicament we are in. We have one person, Steve Perry, who is qualified to be on the board. The rest of the entire board should resign and just continue to enjoy their stadium club seats and perks

I don't support it for the message board. Maybe I'd like some kind of distinction for LSU alumni on here.
But when it comes to LSU's BOS, then yes, all of them should be LSU alumni. No exceptions.

Why?
This is the same type of incestuous "talks like us" crap that continuously limits the school and the state.
NO, it should not be a political pay back appointment, as it has been treated in the past. Jindal went even further, by selling appointments for large contributions.
But graduates from other colleges are sometimes very talented people who have a lot to offer, and can tell us how highly successful institutions have succeeded where we have failed.

There are plenty of well qualified LSU alumni to serve on the board. Let the administration be open to non-alumni, but the BOS needs to be LSU people. Period.
