The more highly ranked teams that keep losing that are on our schedule, the worse off we are. Simple

This thread.

Given that we have to play Florida every year, the last thing I want is for them to return to their glory days. I want them to be a dumpster fire. I want their coach on the hot seat, recruits bailing, irreparable damage to the program for the next 5 years.

A bad Florida program is better for LSU than a good Florida program. Go Canes.

Wrong, unless we go undefeated that's just a bad take. Now if we lose multiple games then you are correct. Odds are that we go 11-1 though

If Florida losing to Miami is better for LSU why isn’t Texas losing to La Tech better for us also?

The more teams with 2 losses the better. Our SoS is important, but is only really crucial if we win 11 games, don’t win the west, and there are other 11 win teams to compare us to. I’d rather be rooting for teams that may be compared to us to lose than hope the committee puts us in based in SoS.

In short, I think highly ranked teams losing is beneficial to us even if it hurts out SoS a bit.

Wtf are you even talking about? I’m saying that I don’t want Florida to be a top program because we play them every year. Long term, we have to go through them to get to an SEC title. The worse they are, the better our SEC record. Do I need to keep going?

You’re over here talking about how strength of schedule affects the margins.. newsflash, we have to actually win our games first.

Also, please explain how the “odds are we go 11-1”.

Uhh, I would say a Texas loss vs. LSU would be great for us...

I’m amazed at how many on here don’t think logically. I guess they don’t remember when the Big 10 was viewed as the toughest conference and the SEC didn’t have as much clout as they do now...the country is looking for reasons to put down the sec and losing ooc games to ACC and big 12 would be a bad look. We can’t always make the playoffs but with our conference being the toughest we can get a #6 ranking with a record that in another conference is maybe #10...that is a recruiting tool

Are you fearful of Florida? Gimme another quality win every year to boost our resume. Gimme another quality opponent. Like I said earlier, the weaker our schedule the worse off we are. The more quality wins we have the better. Understand?

We are the only SECw team that has to play Florida every year. You know what matters more than strength of schedule? Winning the SEC.

You do know Florida is in the sec east right? Meaning we could lose to them every single year and win the sec every year. Sweep the west and we are in Atlanta, barring another sec east loss. In short the Florida game doesn't hurt us as much with a loss and a quality win over them is huge

So you would rather play Florida every year than, say, Vandy? I would personally rather be on a level playing field with Bama. But whatever, you guys clearly need to start wearing these:
