Grand jury finds Nolan Wells' death was 'consistent with drowning,' no foul play suspected amid rampant theories

A Jackson County grand jury found that the evidence they reviewed was not sufficient for any criminal charges in connection to Wells' death.

Just finished reading some FB comments and can confirm. Either saying "Mississippi going to to mississippi" or repeating false things they'd heard and assumed as fact and wonder why those false things haven't been addressed yet.
Society can't function with participants like that. Not sure what the future holds.

You know how I know they're evil? Because this news makes them upset. Instead of being grateful that there wasn't a racist hate crime layered overtop of an already tragic loss, they will be pissed about it. They wanted it to be worse. Despite what that might do to the community, despite the added mental anguish that would weigh on friends and loved ones, they wanted these deaths to be racist murders. They wanted to be able to exploit that fact for their own gain/grift.

I get it that every parent that loses a child wishes to know "what happened", but sometimes it's just an unfortunate accident. You hate to see any young person unalived, but to profit off the public narrative that "whitey bad" is egregious as frick.

People aren’t being taught how to think. They’re just placing factoids into belief frameworks. The result has no connection to reality.
You end up with “Israel killed Charlie Kirk,” and “Black people don’t hang themselves, “Patrick Clancy killed his kids.”
If you can’t break things down analytically for yourself, you have to outsource your thinking to social media. And that’s a bad bad place to be.
