Isn't it alarming that not one other school has shown any interest in hiring him. Kind of tells the tale, right?

He at least gets interviews. 0 couldn’t even land an initial interview with freaking Syracuse.

Yea, I remember when Les Miles publicly begged for Syracuse to interview him and they laughed in his face..

Oh wait...

I think most agree it was time for Les to go, so not sure where you're going with this.

We just didn't believe our administration would lay the biggest effing ostrich egg in CFB history with his replacement.

Not really

Most teams want a young guy they can build around. Les is older probably would have retired in a few years regardless

He is also making over 4 mil to hang out in BR. I dont Think any school is gonna match that and why would Les Coach for less? If you were guaranteed your salary whether you worked or not would you uproot your family to take a job?

Regardless is a Better coach than O.

Significantly.

He also was rejected in his bid to coach the Florida A&M Rattlers, even after agreeing to work for nothing if he could bring his "team" w/him.

It’s a tactic

They love to dwindle the conversation to a LM vs O argument in order to perpetuate the perception that they were the only two options.

This way they can absolve Alleva of any wrong doing, although he didn’t conduct a search, and that nobody else wanted to coach at a top 15 program in the country and luckily homegrown Ed O was nice enough to do us a favor and accept what most coaches consider a destination job.

It was time for Les to go, that is pretty much agreed upon by everyone. No matter how people try to spin the hiring of O by comparing his first year to Saban(laughable), the Dinardo years(laughable again), his interim record, the Auburn win, etc the fact still remains that he was an extremely questionable hire. Until O proves his many critics wrong nothing will change.

T-DEREK I know you and O put on a smear campaign against Miles. But enough is enough, stop with the bashing and focus on improving LSU

If Orgeron were half the coach or person Les was, LSU football wouldn’t be such a flaming pile of shite right now.

Btw Les Miles averaged a 7.8 recruiting class ranking over 11 seasons. He only finished outside the top 10 in recruiting a couple of times.

Despite what pumpers are trying to sell, Orgeron inherited a very talented roster. He managed to run off in a lot in transfers year 1.

And I was one of the guys calling for LM to go, but I had no idea Alleva could fail this spectacularly in choosing a replacement...

Ten years down the road, especially considered the short bit we’ve traveled so far, you as well as most of us, will be referring to Les’ career here as the golden age of LSU football. His biggest fault was loyalty, and he was slow to make changes as a result. But I think we are finding there are much worse faults one can have.

Strange, I get nothing on google for FAMU + Ed or Les, if that's who you're talking about.

Sammy, I believe that Les is guaranteed that 4 million per, LSU just makes up the difference between what the new school pays him and 4 million. So working for less money is not a factor in him not potentially taking a new job.

The ultimate problem is that the last coach we hired...no one wants. And our current coach, replacing the one that no one wants...no one wants. The ultimate double negative...

Probably not, but working for free is.

Hey les, you can sit on your arse for 4 mil a year or you can move, and go work for 4 mil a year. Which one do you want?

Doubt anyone would want Alleva as well. Triple bogey.

You wouldn't exaggerate or anything. I think if it was the biggest egg in CFB history we would have at least had a losing season last year.

It is

If you’re going to get 4 million to do nothing

Or 4 million to move your whole family and have to be a HC if a football team again

Which are you choosing?
