You can be great in only 2 of the 3 if you also have great coaching and speed

LSU will be back. Good arms coming in with an outstanding class. Frankly, I say it starts there. Good pitching usually stops good hitting.

I agree with the idea / hope that a team can get hot at the right time and make a run and this team had the offense to maybe do something special. However, when your Friday night starter goes 3 innings and you got nothing behind that, well, be happy you won 40 games in your coach’s first year. Point is this team was still fun to watch all season - not our year.

pitching
hitting
fielding

People forget that Bertman had great pitching his entire tenure. LSU pitching is lacking and has for years and that is the reason they cannot move forward. Pitching is the most important aspect of baseball. You cannot win national championships without good pitching.

Tigers played their ASSES off this past weekend. They competed until the final out and were tied up going into 9th inning of FINAL regional game w winner take all. Would not be surprised at all if Southern Mississippi makes it to Omaha AND competes well. It took a GREAT effort for them to win their region. Tigers were HOT at the right time. I'm sure the players felt like business was unfinished. Looking forward to seeing how JJ does in 2023. For remainder of this season I'm pulling for Southern Miss. Geaux Eagles!

Number 1 is without a doubt body language. Wait. Tennessee doesn’t worry about that. I’m now confused.

1. Pitching
2. Pitching
3. Pitching

Anybody like to guess what would be next?

It's how you win in the post season.

Did you know the reason they call it the diamond is because the shape of the bases looks like a diamond.

And did you know the reason they call it a pitching mound? The mound is slightly elevated compared to the other surfaces giving it an appearance like an Indian burial mound. In Cleveland, the first known Indian burial ground in baseball, archeologist discovered tools buried underneath the mound. Signs of early life in Cleveland.
