why do you keep saying this as if someone actually posted these exact words?

Why weren't you up in arms when your boys was floundering around the last five years of his tenure? Blowing games with more talent than O has now and effectively avoiding a whiff of an SEC championship.

You defended that shite vehemently.

Having the loses we had then beating FL, AU, OleM, and playing Bama to their lowest point spread in their season IS A TURNAROUND.

Winning those games are nice but Auburn is the only decent team of the three. Florida is lucky as hell to be 3-5 so far this year and Ole Miss is a train wreck. Personally, I 'd venture to guess that Ole Miss is probably a better team this year than Florida.

As far as LSU holding Bama to it's lowest point spread victory of the year, Texas A&M says hi. Bama was favored by 25 points over A&M (give or take a point) and only beat them by 8 points.

What a joke

Easily THE most embarrasing loss of the program's history and you dismiss it as if it never happened.

Wanna blame that on O too while your at it?

Well, I have at least one guy that juts admitted it, and you are all but saying them.

He had a record to fall back on that showed he could achieve the best. O doesn't. We got rid of him to get back to competing for championships, so that is the standard I will hold any LSU coach to.

If that's not the type of program we are anymore, that's news to me.

Actually I didn't. I asked a question about pre-season expectations and projections on the rant. You wouldn't answer it. I then said:

quote:

That's not to say that's not the goal, but was it a realistic expectation year one considering the only time since 2012 that Bama didn't win the SEC it took a 109 yard FG return on the last play to beat them?

Your response:
quote:

OK, so now we are admitting that we no longer are expecting championships here.

We're just hoping and praying.

So I said it was the goal. Realistic? Probably not, but sometimes you exceed your expectations.

You however said:

quote:

Uh yea, that is the expectation at elite schools.

In response to:
quote:

Fine. I expect us to beat Bama every year, win the SEC every year and win the NC every year.

Is that your reality?

I think most rationale people did not see us as a championship team this year. No one expected the debacle of the Miss St and Troy games, but those are 2 ends of the spectrum.

No extenuating circumstances with that game huh?

quote:

Excuses..........

You and LNCHBOX were discussing the September 2005 Tennessee game and how Miles lost that game as the head coach. You said the extenuating circumstances (2 hurricanes that hit South Louisiana right before and early in the 05 season) were "excuses" for LSU losing that game.

But on page 9 of this thread you said in one of your posts "why are you and others so annoyed that a coach in his first full year and with a new OC are struggling a bit?" Doesn't that sound like an excuse as well? Miles was in his first full year with LSU in 2005. He didn't have the luxury of being on staff a couple of years (like Orgeron did) before taking over.

I don't get why Miles losing a game in his first year (after the first 2 games of the season were affected by hurricanes) is an unacceptable excuse, but it's fine for the new coach to have two terrible losses and his team look like shite for the first month of the year, because he's "in his first full year and with a new OC."

Please explain this to me Red, I'm confused.

Thanks in advance.

REALLY????? How dumb are you??? He promised to change the offense before last season and DIDN'T... He was stubborn as hell.... Please tell me that the offense since O took over last year is As boring as the Miles offense was... Atleast the produc on the field is more of A joy to watch...

BUT again.. ALL you have done in this thread is BASH O for the two early losses this year...

I think that no matter what LSU does you will not like coach O and never give him credit for anything good.

I know one thing, this team has played a lot better since miles was fired. miles was running the program in the ground (and I was a big Miles supporter for years).

watching LSU football is fun again and i'm going with it bitch.
