Did you think we had the talent at QB, WR, OL to win the SEC this year? Honest question.

someone else posted this.....you think we're stocked at each of these critical positions? Really?
Our QB is incomptetent, the receiving corps is the worst in years, the line is playing true freshmen in every game now...but you're right.

Definitely no rebuilding going on here. The former coach... who shall remain nameless... left the cupboard completely stocked.

All the people he left here just "went toe to toe" with Bama. Can yall make up your mind on which way this excuse is going to be used going forward?

so he was fired for underachieving, yet also left the cupboard bare?

the "Schrodinger's cupboard" effect.

be critical of Les for whatever you want but he brought in 3 consecutive top 5 classes in 2014 2015 and 2016

Coaching, which is why it was time for a change. The cupboard was not bare, and this isn't a rebuild. Hence expectations are, and should be, high for O.

I honestly don't remember anyone posting on any of the "expectation/projection" threads that they expected LSU to compete for the SEC championship this year. If there was, then they were outliers.

That's not to say that's not the goal, but was it a realistic expectation year one considering the only time since 2012 that Bama didn't win the SEC it took a 109 yard FG return on the last play to beat them?

I will say this. If LSU does not win the next 3 games then O needs to be held accountable.

Agreed. High yes...unreasonable no.

He's stuck with a QB that wouldn't start at John Curtis. does that count for anything?
Guice has been limited for a part of the season. Only our best back.
The O-line is now relegated to playing TF. I get it..injuries and what not....but no dropoff at all expected?
Outside of Devon White and Greedy...the D has looked pedestrian at best with several new faces starting.

I guess you could say this shouldn't have any effect right?

OK, so now we are admitting that we no longer are expecting championships here.

We're just hoping and praying.

Wide receiver - yes. Chark, Sullivan, Davis, and Anderson all have the talent and I'll even admit I was wrong about Gage. He's been a playmaker this year.

QB and OL - no, especially after the attrition (which began after O took over) we had in the spring and summer

We have the talent to beat any team on our schedule. Yet somehow we lost badly to State, Troy, and barely beat bad Syracuse and Florida teams. Miles recruited well. Thus, expectations for O should remain high. He wasn't in a rebuilding position.

Miles won with JJ/JL, so no.

We're the only team ever that has to play inexperienced players.

Fine. I expect us to beat Bama every year, win the SEC every year and win the NC every year.

Is that your reality?
