Incorrect, LSU basketball all time team would drag almost anyone,we can and have got stars. Our admin might handicap us but it can be done.
In football you need at least 44 probably more like 60 plus good players.

Absolutely, but you can still acknowledge that the two situations are totally different. Expecting LSU basketball to compete for a SEC Championship this year is foolish and unrealistic.
Honest question, do you think it’s easier to get elite football players to come to LSU or elite basketball players to come to LSU? Also, comparing McMahon to one of the winningest active coaches in college football is hilarious.

Wade,Pearl,Oats,Muss and Barnes all had stud teams in year 2. Basketball is a quick turn around sport.
Even if we got an actual penalty we still have no reason to not recruit well since all games are on tv and we have floor time to offer up.
If MM can’t field a competitor team in year 3, he should be gone.

It’s too early for that but people aren’t wrong that if he can’t put a championship competing team on the court in year 2/3 then it’s over for him.
Honestly, my biggest concern isn’t what is happening on the court currently it’s the lack of excitement in recruiting. That is the main way to success early.

Nah he has to end of year 3, that’s reasonable.
We should be a tourny team and competing for sec in year 2 but can’t fire him after year 2 so he would get one more to fix it.
If we aren’t a tourny team by that time no point in letting him stay.
I hope he can do it, I want us to win.

People are wanting Will Wade type of success in the first half of the season in MM’s tenure despite having no one on his roster when he inherited the team. It’s a miracle we’re even fielding a team.

That’s fine. I don’t follow basketball recruiting as much as I do football and baseball, so I can’t comment on that. I was responding to the guy directly comparing McMahon’s first year to Brian Kelly’s first year. He stated that it’s obvious that McMahon is a bad hire, which is crazy.

MM is a mixed bag, beating arky was great cobbling a team together after Woodys blunder that lost every singe scholarship player was great, results on the court are meh to me, his biggest concern right now is our recruiting isn’t there.
If he can recruit then he wins and he has a chance to be better than Wade. If he can’t recruit he will be TJ and JJ. Jury is still very much out on him. Basketball is a quick turn around sport.

I said when he got the job recruiting back the players that entered the portal was a quicker way to compete in year 1 rather than getting in a whole new set of players.
Brandon Murray and Fudge would be 2 welcome pieces to this team especially on the defensive end. Murray would compliment Miller on the offensive end cause Murray can create his own shot or get to the hoop.
However, Coach has earned the right to get time to recruit the players he wants in the program. Our reputation in basketball is far different than Football or baseball. It is a lot harder to get good players to LSU in basketball. So for that reason alone I will give him time. Let alone any coach that is hired deserves at least 2 years of recruiting before conclusions are made.

First off, exactly how do n the hell would you propose to go hire an “elite” level men’s basketball coach where, the entire roster intends to leave and the program is under a massive NCAA investigation that could potentially hobble to program irreparably for the next decade?
Secondly, come sit next to me at the games so that you can point out the alleged failures by MM, sparky!
