I'm not saying that I absolutely believe we're going to win either, but I just don't see the point of trying to remind everyone of how abysmal we've been against Bama in the past. It does absolutely nothing but spread negative vibes.

It's like some of you people just want every other fan to be happy and content with losing.

You seem an astute student of history. Do you know who was coaching Bama during the Saban years or what the NCAA had done to them? Maybe not. Check it out.

"Though the team finished at 10–3 (6–2) and atop the SEC West standings, they were ineligible to play in the postseason due to receiving NCAA sanctions in 2001."

It had more to do with who was coaching for them than it did who was coaching for us.

Oh and here is a thing...in one of those great Saban win years we lost 4 of our last 6 games and, literally, people saying we had made a mistake hiring him. So, please do not rewrite history. Saban was no god at LSU. He one exactly the same number of BCS titles as Les and exactly the same number of SEC titles. He went to Bama because he likes to bend the rules to win and they are all on board for that.

Just pleased to see that LSU led the series for 6 glorious years from 1958-1964.

Sorry spslayto.... I thought you were referring to this:

BATON ROUGE, La. — Florida's reign as the nation's top-ranked team expired at Death Valley.
Cedric Donaldson returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown and quarterback Herb Tyler scored on an 11-yard run during a 1:33 span in the fourth quarter as No. 14 LSU shocked the Gators, 28-21, Saturday night.

It's ALWAYS close when it's in Baton Rouge.

The problem is, it's in Tuscaloosa this year.

I will support and cheer for my Tigers, but I'm also a realist...

looks like a very high correlation to national ranking team winning
your data leaves out the ranking of the loser

Upsets happen

I for one think we win this in a close game, but it is a game with only 2 teams......so SOMEONE will lose.

If we do happen to lose which is a real possibility, I just hope that we are competitive. That is all I have ever really wanted of our teams.

We are not 2010-2017 Bama, but then again, nobody else is either. I don't expect to win a NC every year, but I expect that we field a team that is always in the hunt.

no. He went to Bama because he failed in the NFL after ditching LSU on Christmas Day. Once he failed in the NFL, he knew he was a better college coach because being an a-hole works at this level. It didn’t work in the pros. He probably would’ve come back to LSU, except we already had a damn good coach. The rule bending he gets at Bama is just a caveat.

The stats are interesting because looking back at it even though Alabama has owned us for a while now Leslie still ended up with a fairly ok overall record against them

.500 with them since 2000 @ 9 - 9

You're probably right, I just called Ed Eaux's office and recommended that they cancel the trip to Tuscaloosa because of your post.

I would hope your God forsaken state could maintain something consistent since you have shite for jobs, industry, and really anything that actually means something.
