re: To all the anti-O ranters... What will all your bitching accomplish? What's your endgame?

Of course not.

What is all the anti-O venom intended to accomplish?
Proves that Joe Alleva's hiring process was a joke and he (Alleva) must go. I am more pissed at Alleva. O is a good dude, I just don't think he is right for the job.

Why not get behind the team?
Why does not being happy with this hire have a damn thing to do with support of the team. I don't know anyone that isn't "behind the team." I am still spending money and watching the team play.

I want the team to win no matter who the coach is.
I wanted Les to go and wanted him to win.
I think O is a disaster and think it will get bad bad for my Tigers AND I want him to win every game.
I bought a MegaMillions ticket and WANT to win. But the odds are of my winning Mega and O being a successful HC are about the same.
Still want it.
Now if after this season and we have more all-time historic losses rather than the wins I WANT.
Then it will be time to strongly consider making a change. And to me whomever is charge of that decision, the goal should be to get the best HC we can find. No factors like how many assistants stay or anything like that. Find the best you can. Pay him get the Tigers back to SEC and National prominence.
Again that process may have same odds as Mega and O.

" Les defenders"
Miles had West championship teams, SEC championship teams, and a national championship team.
Coach O had a team in his third game produced one of the most disappointing efforts that I have seen in the last 25 yrs.
You don't have to be either a coach O hater or a Miles defender to note the vast difference between resumes.
I have seen people bitch on here after wins. What would you expect to see on here after what took place in the Miss. St. game?
Nothing new here.

While I share your frustration with that portion of the fanbase I'd advise to treat them like any crying child. Ignore them until they burn themselves out.

There is literally no one here not behind the team.
but the fact is, if more people would have been behind the team instead of behind the good ole baw that talk like us, we might have made a better hire.

I make no apologies for having loftier expectations than mediocrity. I've been through the mediocre and poor years and really don't want to go back, but hey with your intellect and blind faith you seem to have it all figured out so clearly my concern is misplaced.

Well, OK. Maybe not fans of other teams that post here. But the LSU fans are behind the team, even while pointing out the disaster that O seems to be.

Because you choose not to. There are plenty of threads and posts on the subject.

I think people truly are not assessing the gravity of the situation. The lost last week was historic and served as closure to the golden era.
i think you are WAY overstating the significance of that loss. just look at the make up of this team; an HONEST LOOK and you will see a team whose weaknesses were not apparant but should have been. the OL is mediocre, the DL is injured badly and the LB's and secondary are filled with 18 yr olds. there is a lot of talent on the squad but it's very young and concentrated in the secondary. face it, our high recruiting rankings were very misleading. you can have all of the 5 stars you want in the secondary but that won't win tough games.
i think we all should give this years team a chance to prove itself. it is going to have to mature and that OL is going to have to get better fast.

It had a chance last week and failed spectacularly.

73–35–3 being the all-time series, and an historic whipping boy for the Bayou Bengals with only 3 losses in the last 18 years I disagree. Not taking anything away from State, but LSU on paper was 7-10 points better than State.

the OL is mediocre
I blame that solely on Coach O. The Vacuum didn't start unitl he became head coach.

247 ranked LSU #6 and State #25. Even taken consideration the injuries, the talent differences are still significant.

Sure but I know where this is going. If this thing goes South this year, this will be the default excuse. I am just not going to accept it after a humiliating loss to LSU's whipping boy especially with the embarrassing amount of penalties and ejections.

I purchased one today as a matter of fact and before you ask, no you can't borrow him.

We are bitter. Both Jimbo and Herman were in play as well as others, and our shite for brains AD completely fricked it up. On top of that, our shite for brains AD gave O a fricking $12 million buyout, so we are stuck no matter how bad this season may turn out
The 12 million dollar buyout is exactly why he will be our coach for 3 years.
We arent gonna be paying 2 buyouts thats insane who knows how much we still owe les. He should have never had one to begin with i agree but nothing we can do now.
