Well you changed the terminology from addiction to dependence and then defined dependence, scientifically, as a predictable physiological response to WITHDRAWAL. You conveniently disposed of the power of human choice in your analysis. Which was the point the poster.
If you think im gonna consider TM as having some kinda disease because he gets a little nervous.....

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm moving on....Wish TM7 the best, maybe we'll see him again, but I've gotta move on and get myself gameday ready!

I agree. It's a PR move...if this was merely pot. I just hate that people will eat it up thinking he really needed rehab for pot. Rehab for pot is a feel-good BS gesture similar to rehab for sex addicts. TM if he only did pot was not an addict. Not everyone who makes dumb choices are addicts in need of rehab.

Exactly. TM made a choice to smoke pot. Real addicts who need rehab don't even have a choice. Pot is on the level of junk food and sex--it's a bad habit that people do bc they enjoy it. Fat People eat twinkies despite their docotr's warnings. Married people have affairs. Let's send them all to rehab!!!!!

What if it's not rehab for pot? What if his addiction is something else? What if he has mental issues associated with addiction?

This has probably already been asked, but if everything were to go right and LSU were to allow him back after the rehab and whatever else he has to do, when would TM7 be allowed to return to classes and start practicing with the team again? Spring, Summer, or next Fall?

Good news for TM7.A smart decision to get his life and health right.I hope he can get straight and rejoin the team next year.I think he and clm have showed nothing but class with this whole ordeal.

Rehab is required for any illegal drug, alcohol or prescription medication that has been abused if you have any desire to ever play sports at LSU again.
There may very well be MORE to the story than what we know but speculating that it is more than pot because he is rehab is beyond jumping to conclusions. TM could very well agree with you on what rehab is for but if he wants to play football at LSU in the future this is REQUIRED!!!
Rehab is not optional for TM or LSU if he is ever going to play for the Tigers again.
