I agree with your point... it would be stupid to force TM to play for another FBS school next season if he want to play at LSU. But stupid people do stupid things.

I am all for punishing those that are guilty but LSU has rules and penalties already in place for a third offense drug test fail. LSU's own policy states what TM should have to do to return in 2013 and if LSU decides to get more harsh on the kid than what the rules call for when someone fails a third drug test for cocaine then that will be some bad press.

I am not saying TM did coke. I am saying LSU's policy allows a third offense coke abuser to come back. Seems stupid to ban a kid for 3rd offense pot when it is permisible to allow a coke addict back on the team after his third failure!!

I don't believe anyone at LSU is this stupid...I mean they probably don't have master degrees from Tulane. While I can actually believe that they could possibly prefer his transferring, this is not the way to make that happen responsibly.

As I've said before I think the uncertainty is due to not having a permanent Chancellor in place. No one would want to tie his hands, particularly if this blows up (although I can't imagine how it could really blow up. If TM crashed, he would be out and only a few zealots may disagree.) As this plays out the guy will be in place and he can come to his own conclusion. I think it would have to be the same result, but he wouldn't feel like it was a burning bag of dog shite left on his front door.

I often read through these threads and all questions and positions i have are addressed, so my low post count is for obvious reasons. That said, Red has had no problems stating what he knows and why, and the results of his information have held true. VC, on the other hand, often delivers his comments, however accurate or assumptive they may be, in a combatitive and vague format. He refuses to directly answer a question, and more than likely will refer to some previous post as if it answers the question. He also likes to accuse members of the rant as being of lower intelligence, by often posting that "some of the smarter people on here understand, etc."
I am not calling VC out, however, I for one would appreciate it if he would simply answer the question of what position his source holds in the LSU hierarchy, albeit administration, coaching, janitor, etc.
I for one realize that LSU must approach this from a legal standpoint, and be very carefule of how this fragile situation is handled. I also believe that if TM7 does what he needs to do to make himself right, LSU would gladly accept him back into the fold. It does not take a learned man to see that.

Good day gentlemen, young and old!

Plenty of people if they are trying to make a public statement and earn a spot in the NFL draft.

I concur but the people that constantly call him/her out are just as bad. People don't know when to let shite go and we end up 10 page pissing matches with no useful info.

Very true. But after reading the back and forth comments, for a few days, just gets under your skin. The truth need be told.

And this, my friends, is why a low post count is good for your health!

well if you understand that, then you understand why I am very reluctant to reveal my sources. It's a very sensitive situation. Again, no one has to believe me, but a few of the ones that have made the most reasonable arguments definitely can see where I'm at and where LSU is at on this. People are far too hung up on the only 3 strike thing...there is more than meets the eye.

agreed...and I am just as guilty for answering some of the more stupid/flaming posts. As has been noted on here, I'm not very tolerant with some types of people...a bad fault of mine. Nevertheless, it doesn't take away from valid information.

okay...here is the scoop guys...I have no idea what I am talking about here. I have absolutely no sources. I have been trolling this board, with this information for the better part of a week now...just because I was bored and thought it would be cute. I am actually not 42, but rather 24...and I have been at LSU for 6 years now trying to graduate. I may accomplish that in the next semester, as long as I make 3 b's and no d's or f's.......there....is that better and what you guys wanted to hear. deuces....

VC, you are pretty adamant today that TM7 will never play again for LSU (which differs from Red's info).

Would you categorize your opinion as "TM7 will never play football at LSU again"....OR....."At this point, TM7 will never play football at LSU again."

Also, when is the last "update" you got from your source?...Last weekend?...This week? Is it possible that things changed over the weekend and during this week when TM started leaning towards not transfering?

FWIW, I believe you and Red both have solid info, but I also think that this is a moving target...I think things change and will continue to change as this whole situation progresses over the next 6-12 months (and considering people are involved, things could change a lot depending upon XYZABCD).

Would you dumb fricks quit posting this lame shite!! He needs counseling and some treatment. Call it what you want if it makes you feel better.

Fine, then. He needs a life coach. Or a father figure. Or counseling.

It's just misleading and feeds the ignorance of the masses to call it drug rehab when, if it's just pot, he doesn't need rehab. What he might need is counseling on making better decisions. When an obese person won't stop eating big macs, he doesn't go to rehab. Big macs aren't addictive. They're just enjoyable. TM chose to smoke pot bc he enjoys it and the rule against smoking is nonsensical, but he didn't smoke it bc he was addicted.

It's just a sore spot with me bc the demonization of pot is one of the stupidest features of American culture and law.

If I had a gun to my head, and had to answer this one with my best answer, I'd say the latter. Since I'm not the one that has anything to do with the decisions at all, I am certainly in no position to say absolutely, concretely, definitely, that he will never play again at LSU. Anything COULD happen.

Earlier this week. As I said above, I am not in that position to answer this...I can only say that the information I have says there is more to this than most people know, and that it got to point where "enough is enough"....at some point you cut the line. I do know that LSU wants what is best for him, but doesn't want him back apart of this team. Also, LSU did not make this decision lightly, is pretty firm with its decisions in general, and changing it would set a bad precedent....or so believed.

Now, back to opinion...I don't know if Red is starting to believe the same thing or not....or even open to it......but I could definitely see Tm going in the April draft (assuming he stays clean).

Sorry I can't give you more......
