What he needs to do is the same thing every other person in America should do: End his Twitter account.

It gets more people in trouble than any other social media I can think of.

I'm a forgiving person too. I wish him the best in life just like I do for all young people. But not because he played a couple of good years at LSU. That doesn't change the fact that he can't get his shite together and probably won't no matter how much we talk about it here.

Now he's gonna have a shitton of money and will be in an environment that will continue to encourage his jackassery. Dude will fall on his face. Book it.

Just because he couldn't pass a drug test in college does not mean he will be a complete bust in the league. I hope the money doesn't go to his head, but there are a ton of successful pro athletes that are potheads.

I don't give a shite if he smokes a pound of weed a day. The guy is an awesome football player. He should just let his play on the field speak for itself. Because he certainly can't tweet worth a frick.

He will let fame go to his head again and will lose focus and be a bust.

imo:
i've heard the biggest problem is giving up his ol' homies.
remember the pics of tigahs at his last party smokin'?

i've heard you have to make big changes to stop drugs. like, leaving your ol smoke/drinkin' buddies behind.

it sounds like he is bringin' them along for the ride. no judgement, but, they will have him smokin and drinkin w/in two weeks.
the smart team who picks him will not pay him w/out drug testing.

w/ drugs, he will only crash and burn. i luv him, but sometimes others must die so that others will learn.

one of the greatest, and i think if he would have been here last year, we beat fl, al, ga and n.d!
he was that great!

but, he let his smokin' homies drag him down.
and, this party is strong evidence that he HAS NOT CHANGED.

remember: imho

this is the same type of flyer that was used for the smokein' dance party that was held and run by his homies two years ago.

maybe he has a new group of non-partyin' homies?

Why is there so much hate for the guy? If he screwed anybody, it was himself. He owes the fans nothing. Get over yourself.

I don't think anybody "hates" him. And you're right, he doesn't owe the fans anything. But it goes both ways, the fans don't owe him anything. I wish him the best but he had burnt his bridge with me so I won't be defending his retardedness any.

It sounds like he has a rather weak agent. Heard him yesterday on the air on 104.5. First it was that they "hadn't signed off on" any party. Then he says that he "may show up later" to the party.

Convoluted excuse-making. Beyond all that, the dude isn't of age in New York to be in a bar, if I'm not mistaken. Just pure hubris on his part.

I really, really hope he goes to a franchise that has a really, really strong background with great character guys on defense. He needs some serious role models and some serious infrastructure around him for him to succeed.

IE-Not Oakland or Dallas.
IE-Like Pittsburgh or New England.

I agree. TM7 really did screw his LSU career up, but while he was a player here he was absolutely "AWESOME". Let's hope he surrounds himself with positive people and start making more mature decisions. Remember, the kid is only 21 years old, the same age as one of my sons, and Lord knows I could strangle my son sometimes (mostly for thinking he knows everything!!!!), but my husband & I have to often remind ourselves, he's young and immature.

I wish Tyrann the very best in the draft tonight and in his career as an NFL player.

Not really. This flyer is for a club in NYC likely made by the club promoter.

Why would it be a problem if he had a party. Those aren't illegal last I checked.

It's just people being a-holes and scoffing at the "first round pick" bit.

Really? And here I thought the two things that had gotten Mathieu in trouble was his big mouth and a substance abuse problem. Let's see here is Mathieu swearing over and over that he is a new man and clean and sober but the first thing he wants to do upon entering the NFL is throw a party?

You know, a party, where people get drunk and some of the partygoers bring things you smoke or snort. And if someone close enough to have access to his twitter account was into that kind of thing, why should we (or any NFL coaches) believe that Mathieu isn't still into it as well?
