It's easy for you to say that since you're not in his shoes. Perhaps he doesn't he feels it's important not to give up on some kids so easily. There's no telling how many kids stayed and thrived because Miles didn't give up on them.

That's kinda my point. His most admired quality is also his biggest weakness: he is very loyal and that leads to him being taken advantage of and/or occasionally making decisions out of emotion.

It's just what you get with Miles. He's good enough to coach this team to a NC this year, but he's not perfect.

If Mcneese is 3rd on list do you happen to know who the two schools in front would be?

What about the rest of my post. Not hating, but honestly.

I don't necessarily disagree with it. I just feel that after watching him coach this team for seven years, I can form a well developed opinion on his coaching/discipline patterns.

Unfortunately,All the talent and oppourtunity in the world is not enough to change a persons mentality.

Don't know that it is. ANy coach who has a zero tolerance policy regarding behavior won't be winning much and will find himself unemployed. Patience can payoff.

Don't really know that's the case.

I hear ya. Just differing opinions.

At least he's willing to draw a line and make a decision no matter the time. Unlike maybe Pete Carrol at USC.

I have to say that because it seems if a person criticizes Miles on this site he is labeled "negative" and called "not a fan". The dude's human.

You people that think Miles has any more integrity than any other high profile college football coach are hilarious.

You don't think he has more integrity than a certain coach in Gainesville that refused to discipline players and actual let one star players (Percy Harvin) attack a coach? And if he DID suspend a player, he would report to the media that the player was injured to cover his own failure to instill discipline.

You don't think he has more integrity than a certain coach in Columbus, Ohio that covered up compliance violations involving 28 of his players?

You don't think he has more integrity than a certain coach in State College, PA that let a known pedophile use his facilities to rape children for 14 years because he was afraid of the bad publicity it might mean for his program?

....and those are just the first 3 coaches that come to mind.

Well, there are posters who simply just don't like the guy...and they can be very loud.

I would put good money on the fact this is a repeating problem and the offender had been given many opportunities.

North Alabama. That's where suspended SEC 1st round talent DBs end up.

TM7 has no one to blame but himself. What a waste.

what is the point of rehab for a non-addictive drug?

Psycholical addiction, know a few folks who have been in treatment because they couldn't stop the weed. Kind of like any other behavioral habit.

Ight fellas I'm out. Sad news for an lsu fan and our D takes a step backwards and loses a playmaker and probably the best punt returner in the country, but we still have a good secondary and won't be affect as much as people think. Slightly worse D but a much better offense. Hope Tyrann can get his crap together and have a successful year because I really really want to see him playing in the nfl.

You first post was just Stupid. The policy is 3 strikes your out. And so you equate that to miles letting the inmates run the asylum. The guy has booted many guys, players that may have never played a down and yes players that would at least given us a shot and an sec title. Miles cant hold these dudes hands. If a player goes out to a bar and starts a fight, its not his fault. a player doing drugs is not his fault. A player using a fake id at a casino is not his fault. A player beating up his gf is not his fault.

The guy wins and graduates his players that follow the fricking rules. Cant ask for anything more.
