Been saying that TJ has massive upside and could be a superstar. Proud of him getting after it.

He has talked about his character in a negative way quite a bit. He has dogged this kid up and down for a long time on here.

I am just telling you Lester isn’t lying about that.

My point is that his opinion is based a lot more in experience and observation than the highlights that you people have seen.

He doesn’t know shite and is an admitted racist.

But he shook his hand & talked to him in the grocery. Lmao.

I mean he’s not lying. Dude has been shitting on tj on the recruiting board ever since he committed to LSU

Why do you care so much for LE to prove it?

He seems like a good kid and I am glad he is working hard. I do believe they are fudging his height though and it's going to be a struggle for him due to that. For over a year, he was listed at 6'7, now he is listed as 6'6. That isn't an accident. The success for QBs over 6'6 is very rare. It is more rare than being under 6'0.

Even his dad knows it, direct quote by him..

“Guys can grow until they’re 21. I’ve seen guys hit another growth spurt in college. For quarterback sake, yeah 6'7” is enough. I hadn’t seen any 6'9? quarterbacks. I think the highest is 6'8?. That’s strange a parent is saying that. They hope their kid is finished growing. Everybody else is like, ‘c’mon keep on growing some more!’ That’s enough, yeah," said David Finley.

Justin Hebert was drafted #5 overall, he’s 6’6 240

High school heights are never accurate, and when he gets to LSU he'll be listed 1"-1.5" taller than he actually is.

Finley looks miles better here than the clips I saw of him in the spring. Given this is on air and only has a few clips. Based on the spring clips he needs to brush up on accuracy and his footwork. He was not as accurate as Johnson in the spring drills from what I saw. He has so much potential though.

Exactly, Kyler Murray is 5'10. I am sure we can all name outliers and exceptions. But there is such a thing as being too tall, same as being too short. That is why they won't say he is over 6'6. Hopefully he is able to overcome it and maybe he is done growing.

It's an odd thing that nobody seems concerned about, when everyone should know the numbers. It's no different than everybody knowing that Brennan was too skinny or Lindsey Scott too short. Unfortunately physical stature matters and means something..

Physically he looks great. Footwork has always been his big issue, so dropping weight will certainly help him move better.

There’s been plenty successful college QBs in the 6’6-6’7 range

What happens after college is out of LSUs control but he’s not to big to be a good college qb imo

He should get his weight to about 225 and he’ll be fine

It’s also because there are a lot more 6’2” people in the world than 6’7”. And a lot of the 6’7” or above folks play basketball.

Was a stat a few years ago that over 10 percent of people 7 feet talk or over in the world are in the NBA

I watched some highlights of Finley and came away unimpressed. Strangely, he seemed to go down as soon as he was touched. It’s highly likely that what I saw was such a small sample that it wasn’t representative, but I was left thinking that if he goes down this easily among high schoolers what will happen in the SEC? I remember Rohan Davey shrugging off SEC defensive linemen. I’m hoping this is what we get in Finley.
