Does he have any ability to run or is he a statue? Jamarcus was pretty mobile for his size.

read somewhere he made a few plays running out of the pocket in camp. with the weight he’s lost i’m sure he’s more than capable

The Jamarcus comparisons are mostly based on size. TJ is much closer to Mettenberger athletically.

Jamarcus was very nimble in college.

I'm surprised it's not Johnson, based on all the reports in fall practice. But it doesn't matter to me who starts. Just want someone to play well enough to give LSU a chance. Pullin' for this kid to show out.

Oh oh! Gonna be some angry people in here. No way Finley could start over the NFL QB's son. No way. Findley is trash. Or so they claimed. Glad Findley wasn't listening. Those buttholes can't determine his ceiling

Whoa dude, you need to throttle your excitement! You may be eating a huge pile of crow next week. They are both true freshman and you are going wayyyyyy out on a limb for Mr. Finley.

Hell yeah, always knew this kid had the “it” factor. Hell of an arm and an extremely smart player.

Delusion at it’s finest. We may have set an NCAA record for going from the penthouse to the outhouse the fastest. Going from Burrow to TJ Finley this quick is an unmitigated disaster.

You’re just making shite up.

I have some actual sources close to the program and all have said that Finely moves extremely well and is very physical with the ball. He’s huge and has a natural ability to dissect defenses presnap. His ability to run will be huge for us. Watch.

Please explain what limb that I went out on for Mr. Finley? What's happening next week that would make me eat crow for my statement?

I’m sure those people don’t have any ulterior motivations for their opinions either...

What? I’m saying this based on his HS highlights.

Watch for yourself

He rarely gets outside the pocket and even when he does he doesn’t look quick. This is against smaller LA high schools. He isn’t going to suddenly look fast against SEC defenses.

He has great size and a great arm. Those are his strengths and I hope he can be successful.

Can’t base it off HS he weighed 260 and wasn’t in the best shape his HS years. He slimmed down to 240 and by all accounts looks more mobile because of the weight he dropped

I believe there’s some truth to this. That and a kid that size just takes longer to get comfortable with coordination when moving quickly.

I’m not in this cat fight. I don’t know if he is nimble or not. I can say with certainty that dropping the weight will help, and I sure hope he is MUCH more agile than high school.

I’ve seen his JR & SR highlights all of which showcase his mobility and size. Plus ppl in the program are literally telling me those are his strong attributes- mobility and size. He throws the ball effortlessly.

They guy draws no comparison to Mett. If anything he’s a Rohan or Russell. The guy is huge and can uses his body extremely well. How you could compare him to Mett is beyond me, met is more comparable to Brennan instead of TJ. Just saying.
