It's right off the interstate and a good location . . . although the only bar nearby is Platinum Plus

That sounds like (gasp)a place where women take their clothes off! Never catch me in a place like that (pssst-what time do they close?)

No, the 'Big Pay Lot' is just a fenced in, grassy area. Blowfish Stadium is a couple blocks further away from the stadium.

Th only bad part about parking at the Blowfish Stadium and taking a shuttle is, where you gonna tailgate???

Ummmm... I guess you can... but you'll be the only ones tailgating there.

They might also prohibit tailgating there so as to squeeze as many people into the parking area(s) as possible.

I know that the fairgrounds have been deemed public (paid) parking, though they will not allow tailgating so they can make as much money as possible by utilizing all the space for parking.

Also, I am told by a buddy that if you are in the fairgrounds, be aware of your behavior and/or posession of alocohol. Apparently when the fair is in town, they're a lot less tolerant of alcohol when inside the fairgrounds. If you're in a regular pay parking lot, though, feel free to chug your bourbon directly from the bottle.

See you guys at the Brice!

I have some relatives in the area who I'm meeting up with. They said they have a tailgating spot at "The Barn". Where is that relative to the stadium?

Thanks

Hey guys-how are the patdown police getting into the stadium? It looks to be a little on the cool side...bourbon temperature I would say, and I love to have a little nip in the stands when there is a little nip in the air. Thoughts?

Icansee4miles, I hate to post this in fear of someone finally cracking down on this, but there are no pat down police. As long as you put it in a good spot you're safe.

You have to buy hard liquor at the liquor stores. Beer can be bought anywhere.

Liquor stores close at 7pm.

Greenes on Assembly is the biggest, but it will be a zoo on Saturday.

goinallout, if Green's doesn't work you can also get both beer and liquor at the DDB (Discount Beverage) on the corner of Beltline and Rosewood. They have separate sides for the beer and liquor but it's near the stadium as Rosewood will take you straight down to the fairgrounds.

I'm confident the visor will get tossed. If he can get that headset off fast enough you know it'll fly at somepoint.

Y'all have a good time. With my dad being an LSU fan I've been looking forward to this game for a while.

The LSU crew we tailgated with in Baton Rouge back in 2002 was awfully hospitable to my family and friends that were with us. Hopefully we'll return the favor (If you're near my crowd the favor will be returned).

Cheers!
