for Braswell who’s never fricking hit.

TIL someone who hit .300 in the SEC is considered someone's who has "never fricking hit".

would take a more productive SS and move Milam back to 2B if it meant we got a beast in the portal

This. But for this year Milam plays.

WOW! We've come a long way since Justin Thompson at SS. Couldn't field or hit.

A poster jumped on me in the game thread for calling fans casuals, but I can’t help it when idiots like you who don’t understand the value of a guy who is elite at the most important defensive position on the field say stupid shite like this. It’s as if you’ve never even watched the sport before.

For the 1,000,000 time, Milam struggling this season STILL bats as well or better than many elite defensive Shorts. That’s not typically a premium offensive position. Obviously we all want to see Milam get back to where he was last postseason, but he’s still incredibly valuable to us defensively.

Braswell

Who is slow as frick and wasn’t nearly as good as Milam there last season. Then you are playing Reeves at 3rd, and he hasn’t been good at ALL defensively.

Just damn people. It’s as if you all really want to neuter one of the strengths of the team.

Who plays third? Reaves? I’d rather take my chances with switch hitting Milam, than left handed Reaves.

Braswell doesn’t play SS as well as Milam. Reaves doesn’t play 3B as well as Braswell.

Can’t bench him, but he’s worthless at the plate.

He is still hitting .281 with 10 hrs so I wouldn't call him worthless but his avg dipped a good .40 points from last year. His ob % has dropped .50... thats not good

Milam obviously has a lot to work on in the offseason, but we’ve already seen that he is capable of hitting well in the SEC and in clutch situations. You don’t dump him after a sophomore slump and throw money at a portal SS who likely won’t be as good.

Get him back on track and work on finding the next young infielder who will take the job after he’s moved on.

You can't sit your shortstop.

It would probably be a good idea to explain to him that he's a line drive hitter that sometimes runs into one instead of a hitter who goes up to the plate thinking long fly ball.

It's tough to watch so many pop flies to CF.

The kid from Ole Miss Hill should be our third baseman. Hitting 100 points higher than Braswell and has 10 more homers plus he is better at 3rd.
Instead we are stuck with Braswell who got lucky and got a hit off of Skenes once.
