Our offense looks so much better with Brennan in the game.

You must not know high-powered offenses. Gun slingers can make up for bad throws, inaccurate Qbs' can't. You will see in the Auburn and Bama games.

I understand the reasoning and what happened against Troy, but LSU doesn't lose that game if Etling the whole game.

A mistake would have lost us the game today.

That's a pretty depressing statement.

Etling missed some open receivers but he gave it his all and took some shots.

But he sure runs like Keanu Reeves in the Replacements

There’s one QB on the team that looks like a legitimate SEC QB.

It’s not 16 or 15.

Those are the only two QBs we’ve seen.

Find me one instance where he had enough time to “pull the trigger” tonight.

Our OLine gave him no time.

go back and watch the fricking game man. geez. he missed reads and missed a couple wide arse open guys as well. one woulda been a TD. did you even watch the game? i doubt it

that was exactly what i was thinking in the 2nd half when the offense gave up on the forward pass. etling has regressed so badly, opponents are going to load the box and they certainly can stop the run. at least brennan can hit a receiver every now and then.

He would get killed behind this line. Not mobile enough to run for his life!!!

Actually, it would be a complete change of pace for Auburn.

Strategically, not a bad idea.

People say MB is "not ready" for SEC play. And as true as it may be, what is the difference in him going in for a few plays now against SEC teams or just throw him out there next season with NO SEC experience? FWIW In the meantime,

What are others thinking?

Jennings missed some throws and our offense stalled against a second tier school. Brandon Harris came in and engineered a lot of drives that scored points in that same game. He was then thrown to the wolves against Auburn and his play was never the same. I believe in giving him significant playing time for sure, but would hate to see him be thrown to the wolves and not be the same.

He doesn't have the mobility nor the OL to help him. Stop trying to throw the kid into the fire.

Brennan (while better) doesn’t make the best reads yet.

Then he isn’t “better.” And if he is “better,” right now, than Etling he should play.

People got butt hurt elsewhere at my question, but if Etling continues to start, how much worse is Brennan? Coaches and Etling supporters have to believe he is the better option and gives them the best chance to win...that says a lot about Brennan.

Stop acting like everyone is as weak as Harris and Jarrett Lee. If Brennan is the real deal, he'll be better after some early adversity, not worse. With a true leader and competitor it'll just motivate them more. Bring it on.

An entire fall and spring of learning the plays, check downs, building chemistry with receivers etc...I'm for the kid playing as well, but getting pummeled by bamas front 4 before he's ready isn't going to help anyone.

Despite Etling’s struggles in the passing game his ball handling skills in the jet sweep, shuffle pass etc is spot on and probably gives us the best chance of success overall.

Brennan is going to be good...next year! Why risk his heath with this Oline? He's a toothpick...
