I ripped all of them but I'd rather be us than UM right now.

He hired O when all of us, including me, bitched about it. Can't say a thing right now.

Best case is he fell up.

He tried to get Herman so if you don't like what you see at Texas, that could easily been us. We only got O because Clueless Joe had no backup plan.

And the hire us a failure if we go 9-3, because we're paying twice for the same result.

Sorry, no to all of them. If O gets us to the playoffs then time to give credit to O.

Alleva - never. I don't get why people so easily forget that the man lied to us, conducted a sham coaching search and simply promoted a position coach to HC, a man whom no one else wanted and was the worst coach in Ole Miss history.

The Miami win was good. It means that the team is still solid and morale is still high. A championship coach is one that can get his team to do this every week and not have bad letdowns happen like Troy, Miss St., and Notre Dame from last year and Florida the year before.

If at the end of the year LSU has 3 or more losses, it is simply unwarranted to "give credit" to any of these guys because they still haven't delivered what they promised. People who want to give these guys credit now like to think of themselves as "true fans" but the reality is that they have simply lowered their expectations.

It’s been one game. Let the season play out before you praise people. It’s possible that Miami was overrated. Remember last year they lost their last 3 games.

Please for the love of god stop comparing our situation with Texas. They were going on year 4-5 of bad recruiting and a shitty record and crap coordinators. Ed took over a team stacked with talent (minus the Qb position) and somehow managed to lose to Troy. You’re telling me Herman with Aranda wouldn’t be better with what O is contributing? Herman had a top 5 class last year and is building another solid class once again. I give Ed all the credit in the world for the team showing up to beat Miami’s arse but our offense still had under 300 total yards and needs work (I think that they can get there with the O-line gelling). Defense (Aranda) and their punter shanking his punts won that game for us (and Tracy, he’s a stud, props to O for going get him)

Why? O was rightfully hammered when LSU lost to Troy (also one game). He should be rightfully praised for beating Miami, an 8th ranked team.

Why?

They have plenty of time to get credit based upon a season. 1 game doesn't suddenly make you a good fit for the job.

Its a good start, but lets not make knee-jerk reactions. Similarly, a hard fought and well battled loss would not have been the end of the world.

Give the man some credit.
He signed Orgeron and didn't bid on Herman.
He also signed Wade.

Are those not positive for LSU?

One win will not change the snowflakes opinions much. They would rather be right then enjoy the season.

The sooner Alleva gets fired the better, but that's just me.

The loss to Troy also came after a 30 point loss to Mississippi St.

I’m not knocking O, I just saying it’s one game. A team is usually not as good or bad as the last game show. LSU still has 11 games to go. Let’s see how the season plays out.

We beat an overrated team. Let’s see conference play before we put him on a pedistal.

Listen I’m prepared to eat crow for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the rest of my life. I hope I have to. But it’s been one game. Let’s relax a bit and see how we fair vs AU in a couple weeks.

Please for the love of God, do some research before posting. Texas's 3 recruiting classes before Herman were ranked 17 (transition year), 10, & 7.

Mack Browns last classes:
2, 4, 2, 17

So, 5 of the 7 years before Herman, Texas had a top 10 class. This is nearly identical to LSU's recruiting this decade.

Quit making shite up to prop Herman, it's disgusting.
