And if it's not, it should be, at least during the season.

I'd be willing to bet there's a team policy with regards to alcohol.

hell, they were pouring bottles into people's mouths on top the bar at shady's after the bama game 2 years ago

Yes alcohol is written up in the LSU drug policy.

Plus many players are 18, 19 and 20 years old and it is illegal for them to purchase alcohol.

thats actually not a bad idea. people want to drug test social security recipients, why not drug test recipients of all forms of public assistance- academic scholarships included. put it on a ballot, id vote for it.

are you sure? You get a MIP just for having it on your person. If you are driving you have to be below .02 or you get a DUI (that is a stupid law).

I'm not sure about actual consumption though

I am all for drug testing for anything that has state or federal funding. I bet there are a bunch of frat douches who makes a clamour for drug testing on people receiving welfare but if it was introduced for TOPS they would be freaking the frick out in protest at losing their scholarship money.
