Hopefully they give someone else that job in the bowl game. Surely there has to be someone on this roster right now that can give you sure hands, speed and good decisions with the ability to flip the field everyone once in a while at least.

While we are at it, can we get some explosive WRs to go along with Jefferson? He is the only one who gets separation
He's also the only one that showed up to work with Joe once he got on campus this past summer.

dude, WTF? Please explain how the O going 3&out increases OUR need for a PR? We would be punting to THEIR punt returner, not receiving punts...
You just want to make an obligatory shitty remark about the offense...
You don't understand how the return game can help the offense?

The answer should be pretty obvious. If you have an explosive punt returner, it does 2 things:
1. Puts your offense in better position to start drives
2. Doesn't even put your offense on the field if they house 1
Back in 2011 we had 3 total returns for TDs, we had 0 this year. That's 21 free points we got on the board in 2011 we failed to get any of this past season.
On kickoff returns in 2011, Claiborne averaged almost 26 yards per return, CEH averaged under 22 this year. Not a huge difference, but a slightly noticeable one.
On punt returns in 2011, Mathieu averaged well over 15 yards per return (and returned 27 punts), Giles returned just 13 this year and averaged 7 yards per return. This is just gigantic field position difference in punt returns.

We need somebody with some wiggle.
My HS teammate Todd Kinchen was about the best LSU ever had .He won games by himself. He then wrecked the 49ers and returned 2 against them in the same game . Played in the NFL for 6/7 years.
My point is that he really wasn’t that fast in a straight line 40 yard dash kind of way. But he was RIDICULOUSLY QUICK and SUDDEN. He ran sideways, backwards, stopped on a dime, jumped over you, did 360’s—you just couldn’t get your hands on him. He had that wiggle.
Skyler Green hadthat wiggle, although he was silky smooth. Put somebody back there with return instincts, somebody with quick lateral moves that makes people miss. It doesn’t have to be Patrick Peterson or Eddie Kennison to be great.
Stingley will be the fan pick but as a starting CB they may reassess because of injury risk. Offering this Plumlee kid from Hattiesburg might be smart, Raydarious might be good at it , it doesn’t have to be a starter.

Anybody but Giles. Jefferson, Chase, Kirklin or even Bobby Bouche'. No seriously, the punt return game needs a real boost and it has to be done by someone other than Giles.

Went to a camp that Todd was at and we called him maniac, the dude was a beast. His coach said he was the best athlete he had ever coached.

He was just a freak. But very unconventional. Reckless. His talents would translate to any era. He led his HS to state championships in baseball (batted like 550) , basketball (everybody recruited him) and he won a championship in tennis. I loved watching him-it was like seeing somebody from another planet.

I was not calling Giles sure handed. I was simply stating my preference. I do not consider Giles sure handed. He made many fair catches look sketchy on top of the one he muffed.
